AJ Yes I read about it just. Forgot about hat. Other side of his vocal cords is paralyzed and nerw is totally cut. So this really is his normal voice. Well do a batman voice over then =). Happened in april.

Love how so many thinks that the video is fake :) As I edited the piece I can assure it's 100% real. It's amazing how Robert can generate power. As he punches a certain spot, for one square centimetre (cm2) he can generate a power of 500 kg's. (1000lbs) Also as he was punching the bag it felt like a truck would drive by you 60 mph while you are walking on a street. That's how freaking strong he is!

At the same time, he doesn't look that powerful just judging by his arm muscles. But once you stand beside him you realize how tall he is and it's all about proportions! When I met him at a wedding party I wondered what would happen if I ended up in a fight with him. I realized he could probably just grab my hair and lift me up and I'd be punching holes in the air. ;D

Most of it is using your body. You need to put all your weight behind each punch when boxing. Just your body weight generates most of the force.

You guys who think this must be fake, don't obviously know anything about sports physics and physiology. First, this guy is 2 meters tall and long arms that give him a lot of leverage. Second, he has trained most of his life to have a quick and powerful punch. When hitting an object this light, more muscle mass would only slow him down. Just look at the top javelin throwers, for example. They don't look like bodybuilders - or shot putters. When you have trained explosive power and certain movement patterns your nerves gradually optimize the pattern so that you can get incredible amount of power without adding too much mass. The average Joe the size of Robert Helenius that doesn't train much explosive power and has mostly just bulked up his muscles with controlled and rather slow repetitions will easily have only half the power output of Robert's punch.

From the takeback position of his arm to where he makes contact with the ball his fist moves how far? Not far enough to enable him to accelerate his fist to a speed that would cause it to exert that amount of force on the ball. The takeback was too short and he met the ball too low because the ball toss was not high enough so Helenius had to abbreviate his punching motion to hit it. But even if he did it again and the ball toss was higher so that he could swing in a fuller motion he still would not hit it that high. How many people could even kick it that high?

Go and find Robert's fights where he knocks down guys with much bigger muscles and favorite before the fight. This guy has real talent and is impressive how he generates strength and power, remember heavy weight boxer. Sure, any of you have the right to think whatever you want, but I tell you, it's just plain ignorance if you go on and tell that this video is fake before even realizing his true potential. Just because you can't do this, it doesn't mean it's not possible. Sure, the video is poorly made. Maybe they will make another one with something similar or something else to prove you wrong. After all, you guys are just about needing a proof and still I think you will never believe it even if Robert punched you in the face and you would end up dead from one punch.
