I always love seeing all the materials that you experiment with. I would love to work with silicon mold making someday... so much to try and so little time lol! Wow the glowing eyes is going to be so cool!! Thanks for sharing!

Thank you! I'm still having a difficult time trying to bring myself to use cardboard, cardstock, matte board, and chipboard, though. 🤣🤣. I'll leave those to the real experts! 😉

Honestly it is not what I imagined when I was reading the books but I really like it. It is going to look amazing once it is painted with the orange lights! I can just picture Lia setting it ablaze.

This is only the face part. This will be attached to a "stone" before mounting it to the wall. I just left the stone part off until I work out the lighting for it. Everything in this project is being done in stages. It will all come together soon. Thank you!

Nice! I really like the glowing eyes :D 💜 I would love to get into making molds, but it´s so freaking expensive here :/ although, we just invested in a resin 3D printer, maybe that´s an option instead of making molds ;D thank god my hubby got into crafting too (dnd stuff) that finally got me my dream printer lol and we were lucky to get it on sale too :) Looking forward to your next ep! :D 💜

@@dolfinmagikpro I hear yah, I was thinking about it for over 2 years, learning about them and so on, but finally pulled the trigger :) for us, it´s not just about the miniatures, they are awesome to print out things for mixed media, jewelry, scrapbooking, and tons of other stuff :) if it was just for miniatures, I don´t think we would have gotten one to be honest....

Just a thought but stoves tend to burn themselves clean, so black soot is mostly Hollywood's version or just poorly run stoves. Which I assume is not the case if it run s on magic.........

That may be true of stoves, but these are fireplace-style ovens. Even though magic may be involved in some aspect, the book/story does describe the use of wood in these ovens, because not all of the people who use the ovens are capable of using the magic stones. Plus, food that is cooked in the ovens (roasted meats, pigs on a spit, etc.) would have fat drippings that could cause flare-ups which would cause soot and smoke. Good thinking. Thanks for the head scratcher. I had thought the same thing when I first heard the story. 😃

@@dolfinmagikpro Actually even the dome style bread ovens which were wood fired work the same way; among other things when all the black is burnt off the oven is ready to cook in. It should be clean when you start it and clean when your burn is done, it is only during firing that the oven should have any soot. (That's an oven.) If your talking about an open fireplace in which all the boiling pots and frying pans are regularly in use then it could be very ugly indeed...

Yep! Two of the ovens are fireplace ovens. The other two will be bread oven style! THOSE will be cleaner! hehehe

@@dolfinmagikpro Sounds more like a chef's kitchen! Maybe an inn or tavern kitchen!
