Hey guys, yes the questions are harder and more difficult on the GED. This video is to promote critical thinking with science as a subject matter I am 29. Haven’t touch science since I was junior year in high school and just got a 158 in science after watching this video four times and making sure I knew all the answers again the science test was different more hard, but this promoted enough critical thinking in background knowledge for me to pass thanks 🙏

I took my science GED test and failed it with a 140. I want to say that i blame myself for not rescheduling my test because I was getting over a cold. I did take medicine to prevent me from coughing, but it didn't work. I am planning on taking it again, I'm going to do more studying, I do believe if I didn't have that nasty cough I could of barely passed it.

Could anyone possibly answer my concern. I'll copy it from a Reddit Post I made: I bought a GED Practice Test Previously, I read online that the GED test, on the science one, will provide you with a calculator, access to the periodic table, and its main focus is to assess your critical thinking rather than your memorization of some random chemical formula. The second question had me completely stumped. It asked me to calculate the molarity of NaClO in the bleach: • 1L of bleach has a mass of 1,100 grams. • 7.25% of the mass of bleach is NaClO. • 1 mol of NaClO has a mass of 74.44 grams. Now, this test is presupposing I should of memorized the periodic table and the chemical formula for NaCIO since: To find the molar mass of a compound, the first step is, you need to know the compounds chemical formula. So, I can't even get past step 1. The second step is finding the atomic mass for each element, which would require the periodic table, which it didn't provide me with one. So, how am I going to remember everything? How do I know which compounds (for example, NACIO) are on the test and what their chemical formula is? Or does the GED Practice Test expect me to pull those things up on my own? If so, then its fine ig, but I had to search online for like an hour to figure out how to find the molarity of some compound with its each individual steps like finding the molar mass of the compound and then dividing it by the Moles of the compound.

Hi I’m late but this should be right: So put 1 mol / 74.44 g and 1100 g / 1 L. You are gonna have to cut out the grams because the unit is the same. So it will be: 1 mol / 74.44 and 1100 / 1 L. Then do it as usual. 1*1100 and 74.44*1 then divide 1100/74.44 After you got the score, you will get that number and multiply it with 7.25%! I hope it helps if it’s still confusing; I will edit it later. I’ll have to take the science test today lol

The molar mass of the compound is given which is 74.44 grams and secondly the mass of NaClO is 7.25% of the total mass which can be calculated as 0.0725*1100 = 79.75 grams NaClO. So to summarize it [Mass of NaClO = 79.25 grams] [Molar mass of NaClO = 74.44 grams/m] 1. Molarity = moles/volume 2. Moles = mass/ molar mass Juss substitute the values now. Plus the point of explaining all this is they are juss tricking us into thinking we need the values. Remember the Ged Test is NOT ABOUT MEMORIZATION!
