I am an American woman orginally from Austin, Texas, currently living in Doha, Qatar. Previous residence: Fort Worth, Texas. I came out of my beroom and looked at the clock- 2: 37 night....I sat in the living room, turned on my laptop and listened to this music. I listen to it over and over and I can't stop. It's beautiful and relaxing. What a beautiful piece and how beautifully played. Beautiful interpretation. Who else is listening in 2025?

@zuzannawisniewska4464 Hello! I am Portuguese, living on the beautiful border between Portugal and Spain. At this very moment, I’m also sitting in front of my computer, listening to this stunning and touching piece of music. I completely agree with you: music is truly a universal language. It connects souls, crosses borders, and knows no barriers of language or distance. While you are in Doha and I am here, thousands of kilometers apart, this melody binds us together, bringing peace and emotion to our hearts. How wonderful to know that, in 2025, we can still share moments like this, connected by the beauty of art. May this music continue to resonate, spreading joy and serenity to all who hear it. With all my affection, I wish you a peaceful and inspiring night. 💖 A música une todos nós. / Music connects us all.

Brought tears to my eyes. My Mom made sure I never missed a piano lesson even when we were eating only vegetables for supper because Dad lost his job. She never denied me anything that I asked for. Dad said he would buy me one of those newfangled electronic organs, like the one that the guy was playing at the mall, but I would have to get rid of my piano. I thanked him, but turned down his offer. I still have that piano bought for my eighth birthday. I’m 76 now. Thank you for sharing your talents.

We couldn't afford lessons when I was younger but my mother did have a baby grand piano that she unfortunately had to sell because we moved when I was 16. I have made it my mission to eventually buy a baby grand piano, have been researching for a few years now. Took lessons when I was 30 x 3 years. Stopped playing for a long long time. Within the past 3 years I have been self taught and added 7 classical pieces to my repertoire. I just turned 71. 😉

This modern piano arrangement inspired by Handel's Passacaglia was made by the KZbinr Pianistos in 2012 and not by Halvorsen. Many people refer to this piece as 'Passacaglia by Handel/Halvorsen,' but it's important to note that the arrangement by Halvorsen is quite different from the modern piano arrangement created by the youtuber Pianistos in 2012. Unfortunately, Pianistos titled his video 'Passacaglia - Handel Halvorsen,' which has led to the propagation of this historical inaccuracy. Halvorsen's score of the Passacaglia is available for free at IMSLP, where you can verify that the famous melody of the first theme is almost the only thing in common with Pianistos' arrangement.

Handel is sooo underrated. He was my first "real" public performance composer. In 1996, I played his entire Suite in B-flat Major for my Conservatory's annual master recital in Brazil. I was 11 years old & i still remember the excitement i felt, during & after. I never quite felt that same feeling ever again. Handel has many special places in my heart and induces a pleasant, nostalgic "good O' days" memories. 😊

Paz e bem.
@LucienMarine11 ай бұрын
@@analuciapassarellisouza1768 « Passacaglia » is a musical genre practiced during the Baroque period and a dance just like the « Chaconne ». Originally imported by Spanish sailors, it became a dance prized by the nobility in Europe. At this stage of its evolution, it becomes indistinguishable from the chaconne, because the names seem interchangeable according to the composers. It is then a stylized piece, in three beats, with a slower rhythm, sometimes a little more solemn, and which can reach important proportions. The passacaglia, like the chaconne, is used exceptional in the suite of dances, of which it is almost always the final piece. On a musical level, around 1620, it became a piece with variations on an obstinate bass, a short harmonic pattern, of a few notes, repetitive, with a lively tempo, it is essentially music for keyboard, and sometimes used for singing. This musical form was equally intended for improvisation, the obstinate bass lending itself particularly well to it. Georg Friedrich Handel took this name and set it to music. Suite No.7 in G minor, HWV 432, in six movements: VI. Passacaille (Passacaglia). Published around 1720. *LM*

A zene csodálatos dolog.

Maravilhoso. Parabéns.

Suuremmoinen klassisen musiikin romanttinen maailma jolla tavoitit yksinäisen sydämmeni joka kärsii menetyksen tuskasta. Elän elämäni vaikeinta aikaa enkä tiädä miten tämä kaikki päättyy. Klassinen musiikki on sydämmessäni tämäkin kaunis teos rauhoitti sydäntäni joten kiitos paljon sinulle valinnastasi. Asmo Karlsson längelmäki Finland.

This song will be a memory that I will never foget, I met an amazing family and I was swayed by their life, and way of living. It changed me forever. One day I will mention what it did to me, but I will never be the same.

My grandmother used to play classical music on the radio when we went to sleep. She wore red lipstick. 💯 percent Sicilian classy lady. She lived in the 1960’s and she worked an established artist 👩🎨 and she gave shots along with an African American Lady at the Health Clinic in the early 80’s ( quite progressive) she kept classy her entire life and when she died at 63, she broke my heart ❤️ and a little piece of me died with her…it took me years to recover ❤…I was lucky enough to have known her…I was 16 when she passed, and I started doing drugs in order to cope. I am now 50 years old and I am one ☝️ month clean. Mind you, I have not done any hard drugs since 2007, but I was still smoking pot and still abusing my prescription adderall. I am fortunate enough to be alive now and I’m grateful. Music is so important.
