Passenger killed in hijacking, chase of MTA bus in Los Angeles

One person was fatally shot when an MTA bus was hijacked and then pursued by police from South Los Angeles to downtown early Wednesday morning.

Recently, I was in Brazil, where I heard of a bus line that kept getting robbed at the same time by the same people. One day they filled the bus with undercover police, and sure enough the bandits strike again. however, the bus did not stop - there were no arrests. The bus went off into the abyss to a secluded area. I can tell you that there was not another robbery ever again by those people are on that line, or by anyone going forward. Use your imagination.

Did you bother listening to the very next thing? The only thing he could do is try to conduct the vehicle as strategically as possible so that no one is hit outside and the police have as many opportunities as possible to disable and surround the vehicle. And that's what he did. Inb4 "if he was a hero, why didn't he grab the gun": With the way Metro drivers are encased behind the door and plexi, there was no way he could've reached over and grabbed anything. Maybe he could've tried to hit the guy by opening the door, but that would have pushed him out of the driver's reach and into the aisle, agitating him and possibly making him shoot more people. Not worth the risk.

If you search youtube, theres a similar incident where a passenger was flashing a gun at the bus driver. But this time, the driver had a gun and returned fire. If the same was to happen here, the passenger that was killed wouldve been saved. But of course that bus driver got fired.
