8 years ago i heard this song for the first time. I was only 4 years old. I danced around the living room to this song and attempted to sing it but because i am deaf i never knew the lyrics and it sounded like i was an alien. The good times man.

My uncle recently passed and he used to like this song. this has helped me release the emotions that are held deep inside behind all the "I'm ok"s as the "oh its fine"s. You put on a brave face when someone talks about it with you but when your alone, the mask just fades away and you're left with a person who has a dam inside of them. They feel the amount of pressure on the dam. When you're finally alone, the dam falls into a million pieces. The tidal wave of emotions floods your face with tears. You cry, and cry, and cry. When the flood is passing through, it takes happiness, goodness, and bubbliness with it. You're left empty, with absolutely nothing. You continue crying until there is nothing left. You sit there with absolutely nothing. You hide sad and afraid. But then, you remember a good memory. Then you keep remembering all the happy things that you've done together. And you remember, this isn't how they would want you to be, sad. They would want you to remember the good things you've done with them. They would want you to be happy. With or without them. You would sit there reminiscing all the good things that happened. All the happy memories. And you remember, they are in a better place now. They don't have to suffer. You miss them but they would want you to move on. They know what's best for you.
