Dang. This brings back memories. When it comes to the best way to end a movie, this one is my go-to. Not because of the movie itself, though that wasn't bad, but because Mandy Moore released the music video "Cry" that was done as a follow-up to the ending of the film. Mandy's character is gone, but Shane's character keeps going, and you see Mandy's character watching over him. He has his own house, friends that he hangs out with, but he still has the hobby of astronomy, and from little moments through out the video, you see that he still has a piece of Mandy's character in his heart. I love it because with most films it just ends. Often this is done on purpose so that you have a cliff-hanger to bring you back for the next installment, but even when that isn't the case, it always leaves me feeling like there is something more that is missing. By adding the music video, you see that life goes on, he is happy, and you get closure that I have never had from any other film.
