I am from Hargeisa, but am in Delhi currently and I miss those payments cause it's easier than Paytm, Google pay, phone pe, and it doesn't need you to link it to a bank account since only a few people use banks in Somaliland.

This is indeed one of the most efficient use of technology. I still remember, ages ago i saw a video of bill gates, who said that i envisage that there will be time that people will have devices like pagers that will act as portable wallets and money will be transferred amongst them. So if somalia has this on a 2G network, it is simply amazing. Even the banana seller has it, i.e. at the most rudimentary level the technology is functional. We need to adopt it in south asia pronto!
