I’m considering doing a big run back to the station, firing up the second ship, and making a quick run to the new galaxy to get the new narrative missions going. Maybe we can trounce them on the way

Here's suggestion for you next play though. Build a ship that can't expand beyond one tile and you have to try to fit everything into it. If you are forced to expand additional ship have the same size limit, but must specialize in one thing: farming, mining, recreation, sleeping, military, etc. Basically, Battlestar Galactica.

I’ve done a run similar to that a ways back. Would be fun to specialize again. I could add in one just for food / recreation. That way all crew must dine at a leisure ship.
