I know several people who have done many things that are federal agents!! Be patient, control your breathing, be nervous, dont admit, keep direct eye contact, always respond in the same tone, and know, I am not taking this test! When challenged after, never admit to anything they say you failed on unless you know you didnt fail on it!! A second test maybe needed with the same results depending, it will again support your results even if its 3 to 5 years later!! Its not reliable and is as correct as a K-9!

Whenever it asks you if you've stolen from your employer, I would put yes, only because it will ask you to explain. Just explain that you've taken batteries or pens. Those are never disqualifying unless you made it a habit to constantly do it, like a habitual thief.

So I shoplifted something dumb 18 years ago while I was age 18. I’m now 36 with 10 years honorable military service. I have 11 classes to go until I get a bachelors in homeland security. Will that shoplifting from 2003 still be an issue for special agent? Other than that... this video left me feeling hopeless about becoming a Federal LEO due to about 10 other questionable decisions I made at age 18

I was able to get my secret clearance back in 2012, several years in to my military service. I also got approved for several positions that claimed you had to have a near spotless record. I called lilac county, city, and state departments and even the Colorado Bureau of Investigation and none of them had ANY of my charges on file. I would still gladly admit to the charges but is there not some sore of statute?? It was literally 17 to 18 years ago

For police department they make you fill out the personal history statement for the BI, is it the same for federal jobs like US CuStoms? I went on the website but all it says it involves filling out the eqip which I think is a 136 pages full of questions that are way different than what’s on a personal history statement? I ask because I get rejected from police departments when it comes to the personal history statement because it asks so many private questions about my life.. my background is clean, and if I canta succeed in police departments maybe in federal? Any thoughts? Thank

I am currently 19 years old going on 20, as of right now I’m going to a community college (freshman) and planning to transfer to a university and studying to become a DEA special agent. I smoked marijuana about 6 times in my lift from 16- to 19. Recently got a reality check because I smoked marijuana 2 months ago, realized that if I don’t stop now I won’t be qualified for the application process. So now I am completely staying away from any illegal substance because I’m striving to become the best of the best. Any advice for a freshman college student?

I enlisted in the Army right out of high school. My recruiter recommended that I lie about a medical condition I had as a child, even though I had paperwork to show that I no longer had the condition, so I didn't risk being denied. I was later discharged because I did go ahead and lie to get in, and my DD214 lists my discharge due to faulty enlistment. It seems to me that this would be a mark against the "honesty" requirement you spoke of, but I'm wondering if you have any thoughts as to whether or not I'd still be able to join a federal agency. Thanks.
@federallawenforcementcaree9900
@federallawenforcementcaree9900 3 жыл бұрын
Was your discharge a result of Moment of Truth admission? You may have been discharged due to erroneous enlistment. Fraudulent enlistment is a different matter. That would be a determination that you withheld pertinent material. It would also matter as to which agency you are applying for, etc.

Recruiters have recruits lie fairly often to get into military service. A large portion of BI's I did for a recruit resulted in a recruiter write up. All you can do is apply and see what happens. Agency suitability is separate from being cleared. Your case could probably be mitigated since you were a high school graduate who followed the guidance of your recruiter, at 18 years old, but the agency may still deem you unsuitable.
