Salim Sivaad ...... we know that, but the clip was showing that light skin black people are either too light to be black and are not light enough to be white. That’s the whole point of the video
@fg14345 жыл бұрын
Salim Sivaad are not understanding the point? we know she not mixed that’s not what the video is talking bout. she is a light skin black women, light skin black women are either not black enough to be black or not “light” enough to be white. Robin is a LIGHT SKIN BLACK WOMEN, black women don’t have to mixed to be light.

@Salim Sivaad she is mestizo, her ancestor is white or, that is why she is light, her country can be light skin too. she is mestizo, she doesn't need a white father or white mother to be mestizo. Watch the classic movie, "Imitation of Life" ... a very telling story for that time (1950s) and for now even. One of my great grandmothers would often pass for White so she could shop in certain stores to get things the Black stores didn't have. She would pass off her own kids as, "the house keeper's children" if they were with her while shopping and some White person would ask who they were. Sad times back then, better times now but still sad times now too.

As someone who is ethnically mixed I can so relate to this. In Ro ppl call me turkish girl. I went to a shaorma shop and ordered in turkish, the immigrant turks there mock me for knowing a few words in turkish, implying I'm a westerner who is trying to seem interesting. I tell them my dad is turkish. They ask from where. I say Dobrogea, they say that's not turkish. -_____- Luckily it's just a few bad apples. I never had any real issues with discrimination in Ro.

You are correct in your analysis my good lady. I'm from a different era and certain aspects of a person's perspective will always resonate. I have hope for you and your generation because I have the honor of interacting with young people who are open minded and have evolved despite the shortcomings of my generation. I truly encourage you to continue to bridge the gap but please do not discount the experience of the previous generation. Some things may take time but I really hope y'all speed up the process. Peace and love always. 😁

@Zrdgrjrfccdhjzr Jilzdsfegnzrvbu it amazes me how your type feels entitled to tell other people who they are. You're no better than the arseholes who invented race, used it to erase identity, and continue to try to reinforce their false boundaries. Fact: Every person in the diaspora is *not* a descendant of slaves. Slavery is only a small portion of a much larger, fast more complex hidden history and you all keep falling for it and helping them reinforce it instead of seeking greater truth.
