You are blessed, fortunate, lucky etc. Driving such a distance just learning and then with such time on the bike in Ottawa! Acquaintance just died dropping his Harley after thirty years of driving! Remember the rule of rules dear Canadian friend that not one car, truck is prepared to do anything but take you out! Very negative no just a lot of years on two wheels constantly being attacked by blind motorists. Drive super defensive..... please take this as a positive comment as there is nothing like two wheels on a clear day and the road ahead. Go safe!!

I've ridden scooters for years, so riding isn't new. Thanks for sharing the wise wisdom.

Boondocking Bears glad to hear! Your hysterical ride test weekend made it sound like you were a newbie my apologies.

Sorry for the misunderstanding, but learning the clutch was new and I felt like a raw recruit trying to get my eye hand coordination right. It was really quite funny in hindsight. However what isn't funny are the skills learned in the course. Highly recommend it to everyone. Passing also reduced my insurance premiums to eight hundred and change a year from a quote of six thousand a year. And that is with a forty year perfect driving record. Thanks for the comment and your advice to others is wise.

I would imagine that any motorcycle safety course worth their salt would upfront, explain the potential dangers of riding a motorcycle. I didn't take a class back when I was 17. I had to learn the hard way. Twice. Now in my 56th year, I'm still riding. So, enjoy the breeze while you can.

Congrats on the new bike and license. How was crossing the boarder with the m2? I’ve been thinking about doing a road trip down to the bike museum in new England but have another year left before I’m able to take the last test.

Bingo. You got it. Named after Lee's War Horse. I've studied Lee's life extensively and he is a man I admire greatly. So this seemed fitting. I visited Traveller's grave with Little Bear in Lexington a couple of weeks ago and captured the most amazing pic of my puppy at Traveller's grave site. You'll see it in an upcoming video. Thanks for the comment.

My Great Grandfather served under R.E.L., he was there at Appomattox court house surrender. He was with the Mississippi 21st Cavalry.

Wow. Oh but the stories he must have told of the things he saw and did. Wish I could have talked to him. He probably had that Shelby Foote twang too.
