I don't understand the hate. I think Michael is incredibly talented. Not a perfect vocal performance, but damn impressive at the very least. He has a beautiful singing voice, and this song fits perfectly with the strained, falsetto vocal.

Ive seen Passion Pit twice and they were awesome live. No effects were used on Micheal's voice. He is very talented. I won a pass to meet them backstage and they were really nice.

Michael, how are you? Thank you for taking the time and doing this awesome thing. This version of Sleepy Head is beautiful. You look great. You seem relaxed, well rested, and happy. I miss you and Passion Pit very much. It's so nice to finally see you again after the long break. I hope you're having a great time, and I hope to see you very soon. Best wishes to you and to Passion Pit. Good luck!

And everything is going to the beat And everything is going to the beat And everything is going And you said, it was like fire around the brim Burning solid, burning thin the burning rim Like stars burning holes right through the dark Flicking fire like saltwater into my eyes You were one inch from the edge of this bed I dragged you back a sleepyhead, sleepyhead They couldn't think of something to say the day you burst With all their lions, with all their might and all their thirst They crowd your bedroom like some thoughts wearing thin Against the walls, against your rules, against your skin My beard grew down to the floor and out through the doors Of your eyes, begonia skies like a sleepyhead, sleepyhead

I don't care what you have to do in order to produce a sound that I enjoy It doesn't take away from a song if I find out that it was synthesized or altered in post. I like what I like. This wasn't as good as the album version but who gives a shit. I appreciate Passion Pit for having the balls to make music that doesn't necessarily appeal to everyone .

Such a great cause. About 7 years ago my mother was diagnosed with cancer, and evidently spent a good 18 months in bed because of chemo therapy and recovery. Although It was tough having to take care of a single parent as a preteen, I can't imagine what it may be like in the position of a child in a similar situation. Is there any way I can make a contribution to this organization?

I loveeeee this in so many ways! The only thing that has ever bugged me is the scraping on the strings during chord changes. There’s a certain amount that seems reasonable and then there’s an excessively loud and dominating screech as the fingers slide upwards. Everything about this song is amazing, including the vocals! I just feel like there could be improvement in that one area only-the cleanliness of that left hand vertical slide. The slipping of the left hand on the strings should never ever be louder than the chord itself. Maybe it’s my phone, but I didn’t hear much aside from the beautiful voice and the squeaksqueaksqueak. I know those chords are being played but they’re sooo overpowered by the sloppy chord switches! Not even an troll. I’m seriously in love with you guys and this song hahaha I just wish there was a bit more of a gap between the fingers and the strings on the way to the next note!

The only thing wrong with this performance is the finger sounds on the strings.

I want to love passion pit so much but listening to this just shows me how many effects this guy uses on his voice to accelerate his falsetto singing :( until now I thought it was all full voice. Unless he just did falsetto for the acoustic version. Either way I'm sad and not too impressed D:
@bantamaustralorp734710 жыл бұрын
He doesn't use any effects on his voice in the studio versions of songs. If you listen carefully, he simply layers many, many tracks of his own voice all on top of each other. That simultaneous chorus of multiple Michaels gives him that awesome sound. But it's all him.
@hibngoodolson10 жыл бұрын
Actually he doesn't use effects (usually), when he does covers he does them differently and when he tours he changes it up to give people variety.
@Rintintimtimtom10 жыл бұрын

***** Ok, well, you clearly can't read. I said "Knowledge about music" Not just "knowledge" Just admit that you're wrong, hon
@BOYS3CR3T10 жыл бұрын
I see that you are concerned that you are losing the argument, since you are stooping so low as to call out whether or not I can read based on me minimizing my response by condensing what you said. CLEARLY I was paraphrasing what you said when I said "knowledge," rather than say your entire phrase "knowledge about music" regardless of me using the term "knowledge" or "knowledge about music" my statement still makes sense, and I still stand by it. Therefore your argument = invalid. But diverting from the original source of argument by pointing out someones "so-called" mistake rather than focus on the topic at hand is a common tactic used by someone who is realizing they just said something really stupid. Second common tactic used by such people, is telling me to "admit I am wrong" before I have even responded and suggested I was right. Deuces.
