My 7th grade crush got me into Passion Pit, so I got all of their music at the time to try to impress her but didn’t listen to every single song. I used to skip this song because I thought the beginning was weird. Years later I let it keep going by accident, and I cried and cried. The damn song was trying to teach me what I needed in 7th grade, and I didn’t want to hear it. Should have been a friend! Childish lol. Everything’s okay, and this song played a part in that.
