Passion / My Sanctuary is the beautiful KINGDOM HEARTS II opening composed and sung by Utada Hikaru~ I played this song many years ago, but it was only uploaded as a vocal cover version in KZbin (and the recording and the audio quality were a bit meh! • Passion / My Sanctuary... )
🎼 I'm playing a very popular arrangement made by the amazing @kylelandry, although I did some minor changes and played some different notes on purpose, it's basically the same! I bought it here, it's not my arrangement so I cannot share it for free: www.musicnotes...
One of my biggest mistakes piano-wise has always been rushing in every song, playing everything too fast and not letting the audience (and my self) enjoy the music. I've always been able to play fast easily, but some years ago I wasn't able to control my tempo and I wasn't aware of it, so I never tried to fix it (?) I now realize music needs its time to be told properly, puking a song played at a super high tempo might look virtuosistic, but it makes no sense at all and the meaning is lost in the process~
The thing is my old recording feels quite rushed to me, so I've taken my time when I needed to this time, I'm still working on it but I hope you enjoy it! 💙

Funny story, when I was in middle school, my older sister left behind a bunch of piano music, including two pieces called Spiritless and Journey Before Destination (sound familiar??). While sifting through and learning a lot of her old music, those two pieces really struck a cord and became my favorites, and they also got me back into playing piano since I had recently quit piano taking lessons. So when this video popped up in my recommendations today, needless to say my mind was BLOWN to find out that the same person who wrote those two pieces has been making/playing covers of many of my favorite games' music all these years, how crazy! Anyways, absolutely love this cover, and am SO HYPED for KHIII, and to start sifting through all your covers I've missed out on!

Esta canción es un clásico de youtube para los fans de kingdom hearts. Fue una de las canciones que siempre quise aprender a tocar y uno de los motivos por los que empecé con la música. @@MoisesNieto Well I think your singing is quite good. Better than mine for sure. I have an allergy against dust and I'm in the middle of my change of voice (it already began in 7th grade). My allergy makes my voice become hoarse when I try to sing high and my incomplete change of voice makes it sound even more terrible. I also have only a small window of making my voice sound higher or deeper until it sounds weird.
