I have this nakshatra and ironically also had my Kundalini awakening and continue to do inner work to be the best version of me. I consider myself to have high moral standards and find it sad that some vedic astrologers paint a negative image of aslesha because a few bad apples, it's total prejudice and poor in judgment. I have Venus, Mars and Jupiter in Ashlesha nakshatra (with Venus and Mars conjunct fixed star Alminliar - Kappa Leonis - and Jupiter conjunct fixed star Acubens - Alpha Cancri) in the 12th House. I started my journey as an astrologer at the age of 16 and my journey as a Raja yogi at the age of 17 (right at the time when my Jupiter Mahadasha started). I consider myself a spiritual person but I’ve always been fond of luxury and pleasure ! True about serving the ego less. My late grandpa, whose name was Shiva BTW, did humble humanitarian services till the day of his death. I would not hesitate to honor him any day. On the other hand, some egocentric humans have tried to abuse my help. And, I have ended up hating that. I have Venus and Mercury in Ashlesha pada 4, gandanta zone. I have had a lot of outside body experiences wherein I did travel to the Naga lok full of serpents and amazed.. I do have an elder sister who is named Krupa Nagini and I have had almost a rare experience of a 5 headed other world dimension snake putting an end to one of my relatives who threatened to kill me when I was 18 years old. I found him rushing to my home exactly the third day after the above happened, wailing and wishing to know if I knew anything about it. I saw a plunge of cobras moving faster in the pace of light towards him and he did admit his farm got snake one after the other in two days time killing the watch dogs. It’s kind of weird that my name is Suki and I spend a lot of time trying to figure out an ex partner who has his Moon and Ketu in Ashlesha of the 8th house. I also have Saturn in Magha.l in my d9. And his Venus is in Magha in d9. I also have Shravana Ascendant. The two of us feel like we’re spiritually intertwined and in many ways say we feel like we were siblings in a past life. To my own experience, Aslesha people have always been manipulative, very intrusive, and nice and kind when you're on their part, but vengeful when they have something against you. Of course, I've also known more evolved souls with aslesha who are able to "control" their tendencies to manipulate, but believe me, the tendency was still strongly there, and they knew they had theses tendencies, even if unconsciously. So it might lead to enlightenment and mystical knowledge, but only for a happy few. For the common of mortals, of course they'll exhibit the qualities of loyalty and "toughness", but they'll be "me and my clan" against the world.

Well, enlightenment and mystical knowledge are always open only to a 'happy few' whatever their nakshatras may be. It is not like everyone who belongs to other nakshatras find enlightenment easily or does not at all.

Yes I have strong Ashlesha in navmansh. I respect true religion, spiritual practices and loyalty. But have faced tremendous jealousy and rivalry. Frankly, I have not been able to win the battles in life and secure any happiness whatsoever by being the moralistic Ashlesha. You did say the nagas enjoy luxuries and other nagas are very mystical but no one tells you that the mystics are incapable of finding happiness in the real world. You don't get anywhere in the real world through the Shiva path. It's for those who give up comfort and desires. There's a 100% gain or 100% loss situation in this nakshatra. The moralistic Ashlesha never gets any happiness. They just keep taking orders from the divine forces. They keep doing the right thing. And end up nowhere near their personal goalposts.
