@justindloski9129 ... When the snow was melting on the Grass Turf at Briggs Stadium 🏟 Tiger 🏟 Stadium, ... the Turf would just get torn to pieces as the playing surface turned to Mud and slushy snow. Do a search for the Thanksgiving Day game against the Oakland Raiders. 1973, '74, or '75, I believe it was. As the snow stopped falling and the light Rain began around Halftime, you could see that footing was going to be very difficult in the 3rd & 4th quarters. The Pontiac Silverdome would later make it possible to ensure a dry Turf for the entire game.

I would be willing to bet neither coordinator leaves us this year. This culture just seems like these guys are having fun and enjoying the game. Coach Campbell made the NFL better. So many teams going for it on 4th, doing more creative/trick plays. Then on top of that you have a guy like Brad in the background making moves. I guess the hardest thing would be turning down the guarantee money, but walking away from all the Love and support to a possible broken system seems very hard. I would think next year the Lions would be better too. Special shout out to our Defense as well, way to step up and play with heart. He, yes demands of it from them, but because they believe into what he offers to them, they give it there all and demand it all from themselves. Kind of how I predicted earlier somewhere else, but no matter. They were given a 'meaningless game' against the 9ers, and played everyone and the media went off on them. Talked about how much yardage the defense gave up and how the defense was so weak. Did they not consider that is what they wanted the Vikings to think? They gave up no big plays in the game that mattered. NO TDS in the game that mattered, and still scored over 30.
@georgelugenalt2002 күн бұрын
Yeah, but that was important bc the Forty Ninnies played their best game of the year against the Lions, it felt like a playoff game, like this one did. Tonight Lions D played far better, bottling up the Vikings pass game and stopping most of the runs. Didn't look too great in the first quarter, but they kept sending blitzers and it rattled Darnold pretty good. Go Lions.

@@georgelugenalt200 I am not sure if you are arguing with me or not. The fact is that the Lions held the better team to no TDs or big plays in the game that really mattered, and still won the game that 'did not matter'.

@@David-w9i7jJust to be clear, agree 100%. Just wanted to say both games felt like playoff games to me, even though the Ninnies are not a playoff team, they played like one that night. Lions overcame a tough challenge when it would have been easy to fold. There is no quit in this team, I love it.

@@georgelugenalt200 you got it. For sure, Dan was not letting off the gas in the season and tonight just proved how great of a team they are. Not a single TD in the most important game of the year? Topping it off with 31 on offense.

Dan Campbell has proven what a damned fine coach he is. And it seems just obvious that he's a hell of a guy. He really strikes me as someone that anyone would feel lucky to just have as a friend. Or heck, an acquaintance, even. He's ,made Detroit so proud. Class act.
