I think it's the same in English. I'm thinking OF going to the cinema (I think & I go). I think THAT Luca is going to the cinema (I think & Luca go). But also the form using "that" is ok for yourself: I think THAT I'm going to the cinema tonight (I think & I go). But we don't use this for the present tense very often... Unless you have memory loss and don't remember what you are currently doing :p
