You are telling about young people .Not for senior citizen any thing.For 20 lacks.I am 66 years and my wife is 59 and half years.I made 15 lacks in senior citizen scheme B.O.B for Quately interest.That also bank deduct TDS.I am pensioner getting pension Rs.65000/- per month.yearly income tax I am paying Rs.83000/-.please guide us.

THIS is absolutely wrong opinion that only single mutual fund should be kept in each category....no one knows which fund will perform better than the other in 15-20 years..every fund manager behave differently even though same number of stocks and same companies they invrst...so atleast 2 funds must be in each category so you average out your returns in case a particular fund doesn't do well...for example 100 rs if you want to invest in mid cap divide in 50rs and choose two mid caps ...so are others...suggestions are wrong which say only one fund in one category that can be dangerous..
