A little about me:
My name's Minoo, and I'm originally from Iran.
I obtained my TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) Diploma in England in 1985.
Since then, I've been an English teacher, teacher trainer, and course director in various schools and countries. I'm also a trained confidence coach.
In 2008, my son, Tom, and I set up the Anglo-Link platform for online English studies.
This led to the creation of our popular KZbin channel in 2011.
My passion is to share with you what I've learnt on my own English language journey, both as a student and as a teacher, so that you can become a fluent speaker of English too.
Join the Anglo-Link Community at app.anglo-link....
Here you will find all the support you need to reach your goal of speaking English with confidence and ease!

Hi Minoo! Thanks to you I have learnt and understood Passive Voice by 90%. Negative and interrogative sentences are especially delightful, where there is always a catch. Now I'm mastering impersonal passive structures, including complex subjects. I'm still green here. If you get a chance to make a video about it, I'll be on cloud 9. Your video assignments on converting sentences to the Passive are pretty cool. I have finally mastered them. Hats off to you!🥰💓💓💓💯🎩🎩🎩

This video has helped me a lot to get Passive voice common mistakes. Actually english is not my native language, I'm learning it for higher studies, to communicate foreigners etc etc.. I used to have problems using the the passive voice before but now you wiped out my all doubts ! Thank you so much for it. Love from India 🇮🇳

Mam, please explain what is the basic difference between person and persons. Though we know that people is the plural form of person. Is persons a plural form of person. What is the meaning of the word" persons" and when do we use it.
@AngloLinkEnglish
@AngloLinkEnglish 5 ай бұрын
In usage: 'people' is the common and preferable plural form for 'a person'. 'persons' is also the plural form, but it's only appropriate in legal and technical jargon.

5:08 How about "The road has been *worked on* for three days" or "The road has been *getting* repaired for three days"?
@AngloLinkEnglish

Yes, as 'get' is an action verb, that would work.

Hi ma'am I have a doubt. Please clarify it. The boys in the class are intelligent. Here, 'in the class' adverb phrase or adjective phrase
@AngloLinkEnglish
@AngloLinkEnglish 5 ай бұрын
I would say it's a reduced adjective clause because it is answering the question 'which boys?': The boys (who are) in the class.
