I'm so happy that Cynthia won her round and the maximum $500 after her dress strap broke. I don't find that she ever made it as an actress although I wasn't certain on the spelling of her name (and having been an engineering student at one time, I've known many chemical engineers, but never one who majored in it to go into acting!), but she certainly maintained her poise under difficult circumstances. That said, even if it was a live show, I can't believe the director allowed that poor young woman to stay in that vulnerable position for that entire time. Couldn't they cut to a commercial break early? On a set and with any number of women with purses, a safety pin strategically placed would have taken care of the problem in short order, even if the strap couldn't be refastened.

Even if they waited for the ad they could have gave her a pin or something to put over her shoulders.

I think she might have "engineered" that bra strap breaking to get attention

The men could have been a little more polite about her strap breaking. They weren’t very sympathetic. 🙉

I don’t understand the fuss Cynthia made about her wardrobe malfunction. C'mon it looked like her bra-strap may have ‘pinged' but her dress would have held everything “decently” together without her dramatics holding her hand to her shoulder the whole time as she did. Edit: Well, it all makes sense after she said she wanted to be a Shakespearean actress.

I heard these two were having an affair. It nearly broke up Steve's marriage. She had a previous affair with another leading man. She kept flirting with Steve and Steve was as well. I feel bad for Eydie if this was true.

Steve was a terrible player. Allen was very strict with contestants, but celebs had no rules. 👎
