I'm just picturing their first time seeing each other after everything goes wrong. Jeff's been in the Mansion for a bit and the others have figured out that he hates every single one of them to some degree by now. Mike comes stumbling in, gaping wound in his torso dripping rotting gore, clearly in pain and desperate for help, and it just clicks. Suddenly, Jeff is there, frantically trying to help and only letting Slender close, which is freaking everyone out. A LOT. And once Mike is feeling better? It takes more effort than it should to keep the Mansion standing through the chaos they cause.
