Fun fact:nightmare doesn’t care about anybody if he love killer then he wouldn’t care and would only use him as negativity farm and if dream turned into shattered then nightmare wouldn’t care and would be more disappointed that the apple didn’t kill him and also dream can’t go near nightmare without being severely weakened and if he touched nightmare then it would be fatal to dream or in most case dream would die

and also dream cannot turn into shattered, if he touched the negative apple it would turn into a positive apple, that's why the positive apple nightmare grabbed before turning into corrupted nightmare turned black!
