Could you possibly make them react to how Micheal freed all the spirits within the animatronics; 'fixing' his father's mistakes? FNAF is mostly about following Mike's journey upon working at these places and freeing the spirits despite risking his life. Yet I feel like no one really shows or realizes all the good he did even when he didn't have to.

Yikess... uh calling Michael inherently good just because he set the souls free, which I dont even think was his intent, mainly just setting William on fire so he'd get the hell out of here, sounds really stereotypical. It makes me kind of irritated to ask to see MORE of him as a hero when all the fandom does is suck up to him and leave other characters to rot. Mike in FNAF 6 + SL has also been shown to be more self-absorbed, and absolutely obsessed with money, the fandom views him completely different though and honestly its about time we get a change of pace tbh. And the "'i feel like no one realizes how much good he did" is kind of an exaggeration, all people do is talk about Mike, especially the, quote on quote, "good", he did. Michael just wanted to get rid of William bc of his hatred for him, even then I believe he kinda sided with him and realistically, probably turned out like him.

Was that ever mentioned canonically in game? Not only that but even if he was obsessed with money I don't get the issue with it unless he went too far for money. We practically survive off of Money now because of the decision people made to use money as currency, Normally Everyone likes money because they need it. Plus how did you conclude that Michael probably turned out like William and that he's selfish, I'm confused? If you could explain a bit more on those that'd be cool :).

@@FantasyTheSloth I will, Michael in his drawings literally just talks about how he wants to quit SL, and get money. Go have a vacation n nothing else. I don't think he was ever intended to be fully ever invested in wanting to set the souls free or even be involved with Freddy's. And turning out like William should be obvious, Michael was raised by William for over 20 years of his life, if we're gonna be realistic, I don't think he'd just turn out great and selfless and the complete opposite from his father. I think most people overlook his trauma and how much that could've affected him, especially since to the fandom he's just this perfect hero. Realisticlly he'd probably take up a bunch of views, or habits his father had because he grew up with him for 20 YEARS OF HIS LIFE. They always make him so perfect as if he lived an amazing life, I simply want Michael to be viewed in a realistic light for once. Because the fandom refuses to show him in one.

@@starryeyedmavis to be fair, no one is ‘inherently good’. Everyone in Fnaf is morally grey - the missing children and CC included. They had killed phone guy and countless other night guards. That still does not make them evil of course, as far as I’m concerned, there’s only one character in Fnaf that’s evil so far at least and that’s William Afton. Michael could have thrown in the towel at any time, he didn’t NEED to free the spirts of anyone, yet he chose to do so. And it’s quite likely he intended to free the missing children as well - case in point Fnaf 3. It’s highly implied Michael set the location on fire, so why didn’t he set it on fire the first day Springtrap revealed himself? Why wait for as many nights as he did unless he was dealing with other things, case in point most likely the missing children via the happiest day minigames - which I think we can agree are more metaphorical rather than it actually happening like that. Evidence that supports this is actually in UCN - Orville Elephants Cassidy dialogue - “He tried to release you! He tried to release us!” The ‘He’ being Michael, who is the only one to have contact with both the Missing Children and William. Which based off this dialogue, and the whole of UCN in general where Michael isn’t even present or torturing William, we can figure that Michael, doesn’t hate William to the extent of Cassidy and simply wants him to be put to rest, much like the remaining spirits. I agree with you that the fandom does have a biased view where they make Michael a saint - which I must agree he IS a force of good, and does seem to be well liked if we base his neighbours reactions to him in the SL minigames, but he’s not a saint, he’s simply a human being and makes mistakes just like anyone of us, but those mistakes had their own causes too. Michael is the hero of the story, he is literally the main protagonist in every Fnaf game - bar Fnaf 2 where he’s the secondary protagonist. So I can understand why people make him the main focus, as, essentially, Fnaf 1-6 is the story of Michael Afton and we learn others stories through him, via usually 8-bit mini games. As for the survival logbook, and his drawings and writings in it, I believe that’s called making a joke Lmao. He was literally given exotic butters for literally dying at SL, of course he’d say he wanted the money instead. So what if he likes money? I think most people do lmao, and as Henry states in Fnaf 6 - the money isn’t even the main issue, he is, as Henry says, “Right where he wants to be.” Content burning in the fire. Regardless, I do agree to an extent - the fandom Mike isn’t ideal - the canon Mike is good at heart in the end, no matter what people say or if they think it’s more ‘realistic’ being another way, but he is also very sarcastic and does have a dark sense of humour - something I think he would actually share with William. But he is still the hero of the story. He regrets his errors in the past, and does do his utmost and goes above and beyond to redeem himself, undoing EVERYTHING his father had done (Least until VR and SB) when he could have easily decided not to. He’s not perfect, but no one ever is. But to say he’s just like William is just blatantly wrong with all the information we have, he might share looks, as well as some personality traits - being a good businessman for one thing - but he’s proven throughout the course if Fnaf that he’s NOT like his father at all for that matter. Anyhow, rant over, just throwing my two cents into the ring.

@@Carpe_Noctum20 It's more up to interpretation rather than fact, Michael's motives through the story haven't been made clear, to make it more realistic though, Michael being seen as a saint or this perfect person after being raised by a child murderer and a manipulative abusive father figure, I don't think he's going to turn out with different morals. I'm not here to say he's as bad as his father. Or that he would kill a bunch of kids if he had the chance, but in most cases, kids that come from abusive households such as Mike, usually make it out more flawed and have less of great morals, especially since all he was raised with was William's word (speaking from experience). CC didn't kill anybody, his only CANON appearance was in FNAF 4,, the rest are just theorized, for all we know he didn't possess anyone at all, meaning canonically, he's just a scared little boy who's life got cut short because of his brother's careless actions. Michael is also very victimized to make characters who suffered because of his actions bad/villains (CC). I see a lot of Michael content out there, usually it's all very stereotypical at this point. My point is that there are definitely aspects of Michael's character that could be viewed more realistically based on his home life. Assuming he turned out NOTHING like his father and shared no traits with him is strange. Especially since we've seen William had everyone wrapped around his finger, it wouldn't be much of a surprise Mike was too. Nobody in FNAF is a good guy (other than, from canon appearances at least, CC, but even then he's more innocent, he hasn't necessarily done anything *good* but he also hasn't done anything bad) that's something the fandom refuses to accept, looking at Michael from a lore, story, and realistic pov, he isn't what the fandom assumes him to be. Again, really just wanted to see a change of pace from the person most the fandom sees him to be, especially since the comment was asking more of it lol.
