Sir, certain verbs used in active voice become 'state of being' or say ' adjectives' in passive form and may be followed by (with, at , to, in when needed). This is because these verbs express ' states' rather than 'actions' done by the 'agent,like: 1. The news pleased them. They were pleased with the news. 2.The result surprises him. He is surprised at the result. 3.I know her. She is known to me. 4. The movie interested me. I was interested in the movie. 5. Her performance stisfies me. I am satisfied with her performance. ( verbs in latter sentences are in 'state of being' not 'actions')
