Love your videos. Love your hair and style. Have you ever been asked to review Layrite Matte Cream and Layrite Super Shine Cream? I'm going through a cream phase. Doesn't seem to be a lot of creams out there. What is your opinion on creams and Layrite and what other brand of creams do you suggest? Thanks for the great content! Oh and also..love your humor.

I've had a few requests to check out some of the Layrite stuff, just never got around to it, so I'm not sure how either of those creams perform. But, I am a fan of creams in general! There are some solid options out there. For something matte, Rio texture cream from Lodestar is great (also their Aurora cream pomade is solid if you want something a bit waxier/shinier). If you want something shinier with light hold and a very natural/soft look and feel, the styling cream from Fuertes is great stuff!

For sure - once in a while I’ll go with natural curls (usually a summer look). Maybe a newer vid on this would be a solid idea!

Hi Matt! thank you for your content. It helps me a lot when choosing a product cause it costs a lot to get something in Europe. A doubt, the code is only for the paste or for the order in general?

@TDM Syle could I have some help. Now I have two questions. Do some people have natural smooth hair while still have wavy and curly hair. Or Is curly hair usually coarse. Because I'm struggling to figure out how to get silky hair you can run your fingers through while still have a bit of beachy waves to your hair. Also second question. Is using a dey texture spray like orbies dry texture spray ok to put on after a blowout with round brush or will that make it more diccult to run your fingers through and make the ends more prone to grabbing onto eachother and having a bit of give to when you run your fingers through at the ends. Make I haven't brushed my hair out fully removing all the knots before hand and I need to smooth out hair first. Cause I haven't tried to round brush method yet cause i was afraid of smoothing the hair out too much and losing my waves. Cause I want a very smooth and beach waves blowout. I have medium length 2b hair that is a bit coarse.

Curly hair by nature of its composition is more coarse than straight hair, which is why a majority of people with curly hair have to deal with managing frizz and generally need to use more smoothing products. As for the texture spray stuff, you can definitely use one after a blowout, but I would suggest using it in damp hair before blowing it out. That way will give you more volume and you won't worry about re-wetting the hair after you did all the work blowing it out. Texture and sea salt sprays definitely add to the coarseness though. Their grit is how they provide all that texture and volume, at the cost of some silkiness. But if you find the right one, and figure out the right amount for your hair, you can definitely pull off the look you're going for without sacrificing too much of that smoothness/touchable effect.

First TDM video at the new place!!!! Haha. Seriously though a bunch has happened since your last one. The wife and I finally got to have our wedding since we got married during peak COVID. We went on our honeymoon and we just upgraded from a 2 bed 1 bath apartment to a 4 bed 2 bath house 👍👍.
