Awesome! So simple, and yet so lovely. The whole time I was watching, I took note of how you applied the pastels to the board (hard sticks to soft, darks to lights, how you primarily blended the colors on top of each other rather than making overuse of your fingers,etc.). Thanks for this Marla. Your demo was perfectly timed for use during my "small squares" lesson yesterday--along with showing my students the three paintings I bought from you at IAPS in 2013, I was able to show them this demo too. They did some nice work as a result! Great exercise is experimenting with colors while keeping values consistent. Happy holidays!

bonjour, je découvre le pastel et j'adore, vos peintures sont splendides, j'utilise les pastels Sennelier et du papier pastel mat mais je trouve que les craies s'écrasent et je n'arrive pas à déposer peu de craie, cela manque de finesse. pourriez vous me donner des conseils pour le matériel ? en tout cas bravo pour ce que vous faites, c'est vraiment super.
