I absolutely love this. Great job on the painting! I got a bit teary-eyed watching you paint. My boys were born in 1997 and 2000 and this movie was our very favorite when they were little. They are now 25 and nearly 22 and my 22-year-old still has his small stuffed Totoro on his bookshelf! Thank you for the wonderful memories and for sharing your gift!

You created a wonderful painting of this scene! I remember watching this movie at a film festival the year it came out! I have tried to re-create Ghibli film stills, it is NOT easy! It is very difficult to show the highlights that are on a separate layer of film acetate! I have the Gansai Tambi paints the same used to create the film imagery. I have enjoyed a small success with daylight scenes. I have never seen anyone do the catbus as well as it was done in the film! Thank you for sharing your amazing version of this scene from the film.
