HEY GUYS IM DOING A TRUTH/DARE WITH THE MDZS CAST, DROP SOME DARES IN THE COMMENTS PLS Future reference:3 (this is not aimed btw i js need to make this known.) For those concerned abt 'Mo Dao' and 'Gui Dao' and all of that. Unfortunately I do not understand it that well, even when its explained I still find it quiet confusing. I try to go off based on activities and actions in the donghua and manhua bc ive only seen those. I have yet to watch the live action and read the novels. I dont understand those concepts well and I do know actions are different in all of the MDZS mediums but I will continue to make my videos like this way abt the "Demonic Cultivation" bc thats how I understand it😞. Pls dont criticize the edits used, they are wonderful edits and not everyone can understand the difference of Daos used and captions are as well different for everyone. NO HARM!! :3

9:24 okay I love this edit but i have such a big pet peeve against that scene and the translation for his line because he’s _teasing the goddamn corpse_ not _telling_ it to get up The literal translation of the original line “还不醒”(hái bù xǐng) is “still not awake” (or “not awake yet” according to google translate) and with proper grammar with consideration for the setting and characterization can be converted into “Are you _still_ asleep?” It does _technically_ mean “wake up” like in the edit but in the sense of how “why aren’t you awake yet” means “get up.” The man’s making fun of the corpse for still being ‘asleep’ and not straight up commanding it to get up and I just wish the translation captured that tiny tidbit of his personality ;-;

Yeah I have lots of pet peeves Especially the “are you using demonic cultivation” in 6:52 Since WWX doesn’t uses Mo dao even in the novel, he uses Gui dao… Never mind the fact that Mo dao didn’t exist in the timeline of CR (it’s live action only) nor the fact that lotus pier didn’t burn down in the novel either (it’s the animation only)

@@javionmcchristian About what? Louts pier got taken over by the Wens in the novel but was NOT burned like the animation made it. All the building were left intact. And Gui dao, which is what Wei Wuxian uses and created didn’t exist in the novel until WWX, it was deemed impossible to cultivate resentful energy. I say Gui dao which translates to the ghost path, uses already existing resentful energy. Doesn’t create new. Mo dao, which translates to demonic path; creates new resentful energy. The only character that could be called demonic cultivator in the novel is Xu Yang since he actively creates new resentful energy. The live action made demonic cultivation exist before WWX that way it’s called “the untamed” instead of “founder of demonic cultivation” The novel name, Mo dao zu shi, the founder of demonic cultivation is a misnomer by itself.

@@javionmcchristian The English translation of the novel by seven seas are shitty Gui dao was mentioned by WWX lots of times in the novel, but the translator in seven seas just changed it to mo dao and it’s annoying because it’s isn’t the same things. And I’m mad because the seven seas translation is getting translated in other languages instead of taking it from the original Chinese source. And lots of it is causing confusion in the western fandom…

Wonderful video But in 6:52- Demonic cultivation didn’t exist in the time of CR, using resentment was deemed impossible. There is a reason why Wei Wuxian is called the FOUNDR of demonic cultivation. But Wei Wuxian doesn’t use Mo dao (demonic cultivation) at all, since he doesn’t create any new resentful energy. He uses GUI DAO (the ghost path) and there is a major difference with it and Mo dao, Gui dao uses an already existing resentful energy and manipulation of it. I would like to also point out that “demonic cultivation” is a misnomer itself, since the title is made obviously to mock WWX. (The only version where Mo dao existed in CR time is the live action and the live action already changed too much from the novel and can’t be taken as reasonable resource, the same goes for the animation. The wens didn’t burn lotus pier in the novel) The ONLY demonic cultivator in MDZS is Xu Yang, since he create new resentful energy
