I called in sick today. Now I I can savor good singer-singwriter music all day.

Back, three years later, and I am still as devastated and blown away by this as I was the first time. Everything about this just reaches into my soul and won't let go. LOVE.

I heard the story of how she came to own such an old guitar. I believe it was made in 1936, but they were made for each other. Beautiful sounding guitar forever bound with a fantastic singer songwriter. I've seen this video at least 50 times. Great song.

Caitlin Canty has took the acoustic/singer/songwriter world by the throat with her poetic genius and the sense to play very little on guitar. Her guitar playing is sooo good because she keeps it simple, allowing us to hear those beautiful notes resonate and blend with her beautiful voice. This lady leaves guitar virtuoso's in her wake, all that and so beautiful looking without make up, CLASSIC.

I have to agree. In a world comprised mostly of too much, too often and too soon, Caitlin's work is a lifeline. Her simplicity is her power. I was a charter subscriber to Paste, and am so glad to see them putting up artists like this. She gets it. And so do we.

Haven’t found a musician since Travis Meeks that drifts so close to the stars with raw talent - I did today.

Love your enthusiasm but ever heard of Yngwie Malmsteen or Jeff Loomis? Ugly crowd for a grandiose music as usual.

What an awesome singer songwriter. Years of experience make it sound simple, but not just anyone can, not only play and sing, but take it to a whole other level. The song is haunting, beautiful, and sparse. I don't know what it's about, but it doesn't matter. Great song, masterfully done.

When i have had enough of the hum drum and noise of polluted crappy music,i always turn to this performing artist for melody and lyrics worth listening too. Every aspect of her art is genius and perfection.

Tout simplement magnifique et envoûtant. Il n'y rien à changer ..tout est juste : la musique, la voix , la présence, les mots et l'émotion...ça fait du bien un souffle de poésie merci

Been coming back to this for years. Love it. Very modernist? Like a Virginia wolf or a katherine mansfield. If the edwardian 1920's ladies could sing. Very nice

I like this much better than the recorded version.

How come Americana singers are that beautiful? I bet this kind of music is the most beautiful. I mean it. Greetings from old Europe.

I've been a Caitlin Canty fan for more than a few years. Always compelling. Chilling, elegant voice. Her lyrical creations are sheer musical poetry. I am hoping that her genius becomes known throughout the music industry as a standard to be compared to.

Amazing. Truly hypnotic. Smokey and yet angelic voice. I'd love to send her some music and lyrics I wrote about the woman at the well...

I’m a beginning guitar player. This isn’t something a lot of people will care about, but I love watching her hands as she plays. She’s precise, and it’s obvious she’s not just a career musician; there’s never a string-buzz when she strums.

Im listing to you on a NAD tube amp with Klipsch speakers its amazing. Wonder if the guitar chose you in a way just the story how that Tabaco beauty in sound came to you. It sure complements your voice. Wonder how you learned to play too.

🗯 A portal opens , stepping out knocking the dust off his clothes with his Cowboy hat from the 1880s steps up and says , "that's real purty Ma'am" hands Caitlin a yellow rose of friendship, smiles and says I' ll be seeing you... steps back in the portal and disappears...
