Jesus couldn't have descended to Hell. He had already completed His mission on the Cross where He said "It is Finished." Jesus went to Hades to free those waiting for His perfect expiation of their sins. He led them to heaven, for Jesus must be first in everything. First in Heaven so that others could follow in His train. Besides Jesus clearly said that hell is for the devil and his demons.
