Listened to Chuck Swindoll in South Korea on TransWorld Radio just after my conversion in 1987, then attended worship service at his church in Fullerton , Cal. a few years later and then his Insight for Living Family retreat at Mount Hermon in 1996 where I had the chance to personally thank him for his ministry in my life.

I have been listening to Chuck Swindoll on KZbin this past week. The sound of his voice is like coming home from decades of tumultuous sea voyages. He enables me to, again, peacefully receive the pure Word and leave behind the embellishments and dross of more recent years. This amazing teacher and his ‘Insight for Living' radio program was my daily staple on Transworld Radio throughout and beyond my undergraduate years in the 1980s Although I have remained grounded in the church since then, I now realise the quality of the foundational teaching and ministries I was privileged to benefit from all those years ago. Through his and other faithful contributors, I learned how to walk with Jesus on a personal level and not just be religious - This is when I learned how to know Him (Jesus) as a friend. The Friend that has stuck closer than a brother or anyone. I didn’t realise this was all preparing me to endure and hold on to Jesus in the rocky and perilous terrain of the decades to come. Thank you, thank you, thank you, Father, for your great Grace and great Mercy. In the words of Amy Grant “Lead me on to a place where the river runs into your keeping”.

Thank you Chuck. I love your sermons. Father found me in my darkest hour and saved my soul from the lawless one this year (2022). It’s been an interesting year for me to say the least, but Praise the LORD I’m still here. Our Father has blessed me with Grace upon Grace and Mercy and saved my soul from the evil one that came for it and tried to take it. "God has a tether at the end of which things.... happen..." aaaahhhh the buckets of tears I've spilled over the years listening to the unimaginable impactful poetic words God pushes through such an amazing perfectly broken man such as Chuck. I always wanted to meet him in person but then I realized had this happen I'd be stripped of the ability to pause the conversation to allow a brief moment for his spoke words to marinate deep into the restricted zones of my soul. It would be awkward at best in person but via KZbin I can do so along with rewinding to listen repeatedly to get my hardened knuckle brain to grasp fully the incredible carefully orchestrated message that needed to be conveyed. Thank you Chuck for not giving up throughout your life... thank you Job for the material Chuck would later speak on... and above all Thank you Lord for pain in order to contrast and highlight the true glory of perfect rest. Well.. now back to doing stupid things in a stupid world looking forward to the day my number too is called. Have an amazing day everyone!

Dear Darcelle, congrats on finding Pastor Swindoll!! Please share him with your friends! I’m grateful that I was introduced to his book “Improving Your Serve” in 1982 by a school mate. His books are amazing and there are a bunch of them. I thought Swindoll was one of the greatest writers…until I head him speak. His radio ministry Insight For Living might be another resource for older message series. I bought his verse by verse message series (on CD) on John years ago and still pick it up.

Every human being is a human conductor energy conductor so the more people you touch the more energy you’re spreading around and they’re giving back to you. You got yes yes every single person’s energy touches all of us and the more people you have in your corner being your team the more positive energy you get back so imagine 500 people are focussing love and attention on one person that loving attention is gonna be like supelr power so to speak and be magnified to energy and positive high vibration and therefore they are all energy conductors all of us together using love as the force to move. Dear Dayonda, I hear you. Daily, empty it out to our Lord. We do kot have the strength to carry that bucket. I have tried and ended up with heart problems. Such a powerful message to be interrupted four times by advertisement. Does the greed of KZbin know no bounds? If I had not committed to get the seven insights Chuck suggested we write down, I would have left after the first. That is why I gave this video a thumbs down. Not for Chuck, not for the message, but for the greed.
