I respect pastor Gino jennings as a man of God and have learned a lot from his biblical teachings. With that being said i celebrate Christmas as i celebrate every day i wake up in gratitude to my Lord and savior Jesus Christ. I have expressed to my family i will no longer be giving out Christmas gifts for it takes away the purpose i believe in, the family getting together in gratitude for Jesus and His sacrifice on the cross and Blessing us with another day to be together. I plan on donating to charities that help victims who have suffered with loss from natural disasters on this day . God Bless all who take the time to read my post, and those who don't.

I was thinking about when I was a heathen, Pastor. I had to repent over again while I listen to you preach about the Christmas Tree. A while ago, is when you could not tell me that I wasn't The Best decorator. But thanks due to Our God, I've gotten the better way to go in God's Word to repent, and to ask for forgiveness. Great teaching. Christ was born into the world by a woman, but Mary did not stay a virgin, but had children which the Bible mentions. This paganism extends to Christmas, Dec 25th. This was the Roman Saturnalia, which is an abominable pagan festival which they turned into Christ's "birthday".

Jeremiah 10: is not talking about Christmas it is talking about carving a tree into an idol. No one fastens a tree in their house with nails, this is specifically talking about making an idol. So lets stay in the text of the scripture. I believe there is no Santa Claus that is paganistic but I believe that people who acknowledge Christmas is celebrating the fact that Christ came into the world. We know he was not born on December 25, that's a given. But the fact that Christ was born that is why Christians celebrate his birth. We know the true meaning of Christmas is Christ, it is nothing more than that. Unfortunately people have corrupted it and turned into something that it is not. It has been commercialized.

The main reason I like Pastor Jennings is that he doesn't argue feeling he gives Bible for everything. What you believe does not matter. What the word says matters. The facts are that Christmas is a pagan holiday no matter how you try to slice it. The tree is an idol carved or not. What scripture do you have that offers support of Christmas?

I think this is a complicated topic and we do have to go by what the Bible says but we have to separate our interpretation from it. Jeremiah is directly speaking about a wooden idol. The Bible says cursed is he that hangs on a tree. Did Christ hang on a tree or was it a cross. We know what it’s saying. Jeremiah is using the same language. Christmas did not exist during the writing of Jeremiah. In a world filled with vulgarity, violence and extreme sensuality that’s dumped on our kids daily. I can’t have a problem with an image of a nativity which pushes away from carnal nonsense. What does the Bible say about building a memorial so people don’t forget. And there are secular stations that never play anything Christ related until this time of the year. I personally enjoy hearing oh holy night. And none of us were alive when this was instituted. How do we know that the church back in the day got tired of the pagans and winter solace so they picked this time to celebrate Christ and push back against those ungodly celebrations that was probably persuading the young people to walk away from faith. We have to stop thinking we know it all when we don’t. We don’t have to be empty, shallow, superficial and pretentious during this time of year. Talking about Santa clause (which no believer should encourage). Going in debt for no reason. But will be shouldn’t throw the baby out with the bathwater so to speak. Plant a seed and celebrate Christ.

What Jesus said in Matthew 28:19 is one of the most important yet misunderstood Scriptures in the New Testament. He said, "Go therefore and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost" It initially appears he is saying to say the titles Father, Son, and Holy Ghost at baptism, but the following proves what he is actually saying. "Go therefore and teach all nations BAPTIZING them in the name (SINGULAR name and not "names") OF the Father, and OF the Son, and OF the Holy Ghost." Father, Son, and Holy Ghost are titles and not names. Jesus disciples never used those words when they baptized anyone in water, nor did they use those words in one sentence regarding any other topic. Every time Jesus disciples baptized anyone in water they invoked Jesus Name at baptism which is Acts 2:38, Acts 8:14, Acts 8:38, Acts 9:18, Acts 10:44-48, Acts 16:15, Acts 16:33, Acts 18:7-8, Acts 19:3-5, and Acts 22:16. Those are some of many scriptures that proves that the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost is Jesus. At about that same time Jesus said in Mark 16:16,"He that believes and is BAPTIZED shall be Saved, but he that believes not shall be damned." Jesus addressed what damned means in Luke 16:19-31, Matthew 13:42, Matthew 25:41, Mark 9:45-46, Revelation 20:15, and Revelation 21:8. REGARDING THE NAME OF THE FATHER: John 5:43, I am come in my Father's name and you receive me not, if another shall come in his own name, him you will receive." John 12:44-45,"He that believes on me, believes not on me, but on him that sent me. And him that sees me sees him that sent me." 1 John 2:23,"Whosoever denies the Son, the same has not the Father, but he that acknowledges the Son has the Father also." Isaiah 9:6,"For unto us a child is born, unto us a SON (Jesus) is given, and the government shall be upon His shoulder, and his Name shall be called Wonderful, the MIGHTY GOD, (also Revelation 1:8) the Everlasting Father, the Prince of Piece." REGARDING THE NAME OF THE SON: Matthew 1:23,"Behold a virgin shall be with child and bring forth a Son and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is GOD WITH US." REGARDING THE NAME OF THE HOLY GHOST: John 15:26,"But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, he shall testify of "ME." John 16:13-14,"Howbeit when the Spirit of truth is come, He shall guide you into all truth, for He shall not speak of himself, but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall He speak, and will show you things to come. 14 HE SHALL GLORIFY ME." John 14:18,"I will not leave you comfortless, "I" will come unto you." John 14:26,"But when the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send IN MY NAME, He shall teach you all things." Paul said in 2 Corinthians 3:17,"Now the Lord IS THAT SPIRIT, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty." Paul said in Hebrews 1:8,"But unto the SON he said, Thy throne O God is forever and ever....." Acts 7:59, "And they stoned Stephen, calling upon GOD, and saying, LORD JESUS receive my spirit." Jesus is speaking in the following Scriptures in the book of Revelation: Revelation 1:8, "I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, which was, and is to come, THE ALMIGHTY." Revelation 1:17-18,"And when I saw him (John speaking) I fell at his feet as dead, and he laid his hands on me, saying unto me, Fear not, I am the first and the last. 18 I am he that lives and was dead, and behold, I am alive forever more, Amen and have the keys of hell and of death." Also Matthew 28:18.. Revelation 2:7,"He that has an ear, let him hear what the SPIRIT says unto the Churches." Also Revelation 2:11 Revelation 21:6-7, "And he said unto me, (John) It is done, I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the waters life freely. 7 He that overcomes shall inherit all things, and I will be his GOD, and he shall be my SON." Some say the Thief on the cross next to Jesus was not baptized yet Jesus told him he would be with him that day in paradise. Jesus had not given the COMMANDMENT to be baptized in his Name until after He rose from the dead and just before He ascended to heaven. The thief or anyone else at that time could not have done it because they did not know about it. If you are convinced you need to get Baptized in water in Jesus Name, do a search, type in "United Pentecostal Church International", slightly scroll down to just below the red box, type in your zip code, then a screen will show a Church nearest you that will do that. If you get Baptized in water Jesus Name, and get baptized with the Holy Ghost which is addressed in Mark 16:17 (Jesus speaking) Acts 2:3-4 (Pentecost). Acts 8:17, Acts 9:18, Acts 10:44-48, and Acts 19:3-5 - which is when the Spirit of Christ initially dwells in a person. Nowhere in Scripture does it say it happens any other way than that way. There is not one Scripture that says a person receives the Holy Ghost just because they are a believer. Acts 19:1-5 is a good example. Paul said in Romans 8:9-11,”But you are not in the flesh, but in the spirit, if so be that the spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, HE IS NONE OF HIS." If you do the above you will be making SURE your name is written in the Lamb's Book Of Life. Jesus said in Matthew 24:4,"Take heed that no man deceives you." Jesus said in John 10:27, "My Sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me."

Revelation the woman with child crying in pain to be delivered. She brought forth a man child. She spread her wings and flew high into the wilderness. John laid the ax to the root of the trees. You have no ax. The problem is you have not cut down no trees. If you are not a heathen you don't know God. I don't believe in Santa. A tree and sharing gifts and setting a day for people to celebrate Christ is not wrong. You get down to Bible with it everyday is the Lords day. Every day Christ is born in someone. Every day is Christ birthday. 7 days a week. Oh I forgot great and mighty angel with one foot on the land and one foot on the sea with his hands toward heaven time shall be no more. Jeremiah 10 is not about Christmas trees or the birth of Christ. Read the entire chapter. Jeremiah 10 is about Idols and the Living GOD! Jeremiah 10:2 "2 Thus says the Lord: “Learn not the way of the nations, nor be dismayed at the signs of the heavens because the nations are dismayed at them." ChRISTMAS? NO! Gentiles worshipped celestial bodies, like the sun, moon and stars. 10:4 "4 They decorate it with silver and gold; they fasten it with hammer and nails so that it cannot move." CHRISTMAS? NO! Idols were carved out of wood in v.3 overlayed with gold and silver see v.9. Some were molded from clay (Judges 18:17; Isaiah 42:17)The context reveals the impossibility of false gods punishing or rewarding humans.

The Magi acknowledged His Birth by following a star to Bethlehem and presenting gifts to Him - Gold, frankincense and Myrrh. Christmas is about His miraculous Birth! It is also about love, kindness, gentleness, goodness, and peace. There is no law against these things. Galatians 5:22-23 "22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law." I respect pastor Jenkins but, since it's so horrible to celebrate Christmas I got a couple of questions, at what point in the Bible did God ever tell us to give honor to ourself, with that being said why do we celebrate our birthday, Church anniversary, wedding anniversaries, different auxiliaries within the church. These are events that we celebrate each year in the body of Christ that we have been molded and shaped to celebrate. Which when you look up the definition of a holiday you would understand that these particular events that we celebrate is considered a holiday and is considered pagan if you want to be technical but, there is nowhere in the word of God did he ever say to celebrate self but, increase is always associated not what our Lord and savior will something so evil smh .

The issue with Christmas is that it was never a day for Jesus, it was always a day Pagans celebrated their gods; the Catholic Church took this day & insert Jesus in it. As far as birthdays, anniversaries etc we know when we’re born & anniversaries etc. when we celebrate these days it’s specific but think… Christmas is supposed to be a sacred day set aside for Jesus so why are so many other things attached to it? I’ll answer, it’s not about Jesus. The whole world wouldn’t celebrate it if was truly about Jesus, Churches wouldn’t put up Christmas trees & poinsettias. This is example of how satanic has blind the eyes of the believers.

Does Br. Jennings know that Sunday worship and the church is the daughter of the mother church which is Catholicism? Does he know the Sunday worship in the place of the Holy Sabbath day is the Beast system of Revelation 13. He needs to stand at the pulpit and preach and teach the Sabbath day and if he is still keeping Sunday as a holy day then his sermons on X-mas are hypocritical. all search the bible for yourself, taste and see that God is good and only Jesus is the truth.
