I suggest my short and free essay on Deborah. Men and women are perfectly equal spiritually. She was a pastor, according to the scriptures. This is how the Judges are described in Chronicles, by God. A woman could only be given the authority by God to execute a man for his sin, if women are spiritually equal to men. A Judge could judge homicide cases according to Deuteronomy. Therefore Deborah, as a Judge, could execute a man for his sin. Complementarianism is a false doctrine that is in opposition to what God actually did. God appointed a woman as a Judge over Israel. There was no gender qualification to be a Judge, in the scriptures.

Deborah judged and led Israel for 60 years in the 12th century B.C.4 Her oversight covered approximately 20 years of national hardship before the Canaanite war and then a peaceful aftermath of 40 years. JUDGES 4.

When the Bible tells women Not to preach then they are NOT to preach. No questioning the Bible. But women the world over are making their own rules. The have stopped covering their heads in church and in prayer they wear all sorts of vulgar dresses in church and are more worried about their fashions even in church.. This pastor says exactly what the Bible says..

Romans 16:1-2 (NIV): “I commend to you our sister Phoebe, a deacon of the church in Cenchreae. I ask you to receive her in the Lord in a way worthy of his people and to give her any help she may need from you, for she has been the benefactor of many people, including me.”
@rubybaylor9372

Wrong. Scripture says she was a servant of the church. Romans 16:1 [1]I commend unto you Phebe our sister, which is a servant of the church which is at Cenchrea: She had the gift of help. Sevant doesn't mean preaching. She could have served in preparing other women to be baptized. It also says that she was an, "succourer." the word succourer is a feminine noun that means "a patroness that is assistant" or "a female guardian, protectress, patroness, caring for the affairs of others and aiding them with her resources". Far from preaching. Many have been deceived by these false teachings. 99% of these preachers are false preaching, not called by God to preach the Truth of His Word. And there 99% of false woman prophet. Not called by God to prophecy anything. BEWARE!!

If the purpose of being baptized in the Holy Ghost with the evidence of “speaking in tongues” is to spread the word of God to the nations then why is it that women who speak in tongues cannot preach?

Speaking in tonues is a gift. It is to be used to pray to God because the enemy cant understand what you are praying for to stop it. Women are not to be in the pullpit preaching because Eve was decieved and Adam was form first( paraphrasing) but 1Timothy 2:12. If you dont believe Gino, do research on 'Near death experience' testimonies and see how they are warning that women preachers are in hell. Shalom

Urban The gospel is a teaching. The first and most important of all. If a woman can teach a man the gospel, she can teach all the lesser teachings to men. This is logic. Even in the teaching/preaching of the gospel, a man may ask a woman about something scriptural/spiritual. So if the man asks about the so-called 7 deadly sins, she can't say a word? If indeed she can speak to him about this as an unsaved man, then she can't once he becomes saved? When all this becomes about gender, instead of the Holy Spirit, there is confusion.

On the other side, Jesus included women in his circle of followers-something that no other rabbi did. The apostle Paul also wrote in Galatians 3:28 that in Christ there is no Jew or Gentile, slave or free, male or female. If we believe that Jesus made Jew and Gentile equal before God, why would we not believe that about men and women? Why would we let Jew or Gentile lead, slave or free speak, but not women? In the book of Acts, when God poured out His Spirit on Pentecost, Peter described it as the fulfillment of Joel’s prophecy that God would pour out His Spirit on all flesh, men and women alike, and they would all be gifted to serve and prophesy. If a woman is gifted by God to speak, why would we forbid her? There are women leaders and speakers in the churches in Acts, and in Paul’s letters, he refers to women leaders in the churches (for example, Romans 16). The culture of Jesus’ day and Paul’s day was patriarchal; women had almost no rights. Jesus ignored that culture, and to some degree (though not entirely), so did Paul. It seems to me that the arc of Biblical teaching and God’s intent is to make us one. God gifts every person-no exception-so I cannot think of a good reason (or a Biblical one) to deny half the church the ability to use their gifts, particularly of speaking and leading.

Good Christians who love God’s Word differ on whether women should be allowed to lead or teach. There are Scriptures to be cited on both sides. Did you happen to hear Amy Miller’s message on this subject this past weekend? She also cited several good books on her outline. I’d recommend you check out her message and the resources she cited. The three passages that are usually referenced to support the position that women should not teach in church or be leaders are: 1 Corinthians 11:1-16, 14:34-35, and 1 Timothy 2:12-15. While each of these may seem clear, they are in fact very problematic, and scholars and theologians have long debated them. For example, in 1 Corinthians 11, women are to wear a head covering. In Paul’s day, this was a full-length veil. I don’t know any Christians or churches who observe this today-at least not in Western culture. Why? Because we believe Paul wrote this to a specific cultural context and interpret it accordingly. Also, this passage says that women can pray and prophesy (in church) as long as they are appropriately covered. How does that square with Paul’s instructions in the other two passages that women should be silent? Is it possible that what Paul wrote about women was written in a specific cultural context and needs to be understood accordingly? Many scholars debate the meaning of the 1 Corinthians 14 command for women to be silent in church. Was this cultural? Was it due to divided seating? What made it disgraceful for a woman to speak? And why say this when he just said earlier that they could pray and prophesy? And the Timothy passage is equally problematic. For example, what does Paul mean that women will be saved through child-bearing? Typically, if a passage doesn’t make sense, it wise to dig a little deeper. This is why scholars have wrestled-and continue to wrestle-with these passages. That’s a short answer! Whole books have been written on this, by both sides-and again, by good Christians on both sides. I don’t believe it is a litmus test for true Christians-I think sincere believers can disagree about this and still be Christian. But I clearly believe that a gifted woman can speak or lead. I also recognize that their are differences between men and women-I’m not trying to deny that or dismiss those. In fact, those differences make it all the more important to me that we have female voices in leadership! I hope that helps!

He said that there is not one woman preacher in the Bible but Deborah was the first women judge and prophet who counseled and was a leader of men. He is teacher under a law that we aren’t bound to because we are bound or should be bound to the law of love, by Christ Jesus. Beware of false prophets who teach and educate others on bondage and not freedom through the Holy Spirit. And if 1 Timothy 2:12 is your go to scripture to back this, Timothy was addressing the women of Ephesus and their deception by Satan by giving order to the church in order to avoid the same mistake eve made. Timothy said “I do not let women teach” not “God said”. Allow Mary was the first one to witness the resurrection of Jesus Christ and spread the word to the disciples. In acts 18:26 Pricilla and aquilla preach to apollos regarding deeper context of the word. Should I go on ?

Deborah was an uncommon leader because she was a woman. God called her to a prominent position as a prophetess and judge at a time in history when He commonly appointed men to those positions. Deborah is in good company with a few other women prophetesses in the Bible: Moses’ sister Miriam in Exodus 15:20; Huldah in 2 Kings 22:15; Anna in Luke 2:36 and Phillip’s daughters in Acts 21:8-9.

Paul’s reference to Phoebe as “our sister” indicates that she was a member of the Christian church and his sister in Christ. Her designation as “deacon” (or “servant” in the ESV) could mean that she held an official position within the church as a deaconess or simply that she was someone who was known to serve the church faithfully (the Greek diakonos means “servant”). Whether or not Phoebe had the title “deaconess,” it is clear that she was a trusted member of the body of believers in Cenchreae, a seaport about eight or nine miles from Corinth. Paul commends Phoebe to the Roman believers and asks that they receive her in a gracious and friendly manner into their homes and hearts with love and affection. She was to be welcome in their church fellowship. Asking for her to be received “in a way worthy of [God’s] people” means that the church should treat Phoebe with the special respect and Christian love that should characterize all believers’ interactions with one another. Even those believers we have never met before should be welcomed with love, for we share a bond in the Lord (John 13:35). Phoebe was to be aided in whatever business she would be conducting in Rome. Paul adds that Phoebe was a helper of many. Phoebe may have shown great kindness in various ways to other Christians, perhaps receiving them into her house in the manner of Martha and Mary (Luke 10:38-40). Perhaps she ministered to the sick, helped the poor, and aided widows and orphans in the manner of Tabitha (Acts 9:36). Maybe she ministered to strangers and travelers in the manner of John’s “elect lady” (2 John 1). Paul himself was a beneficiary of Phoebe’s kind servant’s heart. Whatever Phoebe’s precise role in the church, the inclusion of her name in Romans 16 is a testimony to her character and ensures that she will never be forgotten.

The Bible is Rrrriiiggghhhttt!!! Women preachers or leaders who took on significant spiritual roles are mentioned in various parts of the Bible. Here are some examples: 1. **Deborah** (Judges 4-5): Deborah was a prophetess and judge of Israel. She was a spiritual leader and led Israel to victory in battle. Deborah is one of the most prominent female leaders in the Bible. 2. **Miriam** (Exodus 15:20-21): Miriam, the sister of Moses and Aaron, is described as a prophetess. She led the women of Israel in worship and song after the crossing of the Red Sea. 3. **Huldah** (2 Kings 22:14-20; 2 Chronicles 34:22-28): Huldah was a prophetess during the reign of King Josiah. When the Book of the Law was found, she was consulted to verify its authenticity and interpret its meaning. 4. **Anna** (Luke 2:36-38): Anna was a prophetess who lived in the temple in Jerusalem. She spoke about Jesus to all who were looking forward to the redemption of Jerusalem when she encountered Him as a baby. 5. **Priscilla** (Acts 18:24-26): Priscilla, along with her husband Aquila, was a teacher and preacher of the gospel. They instructed Apollos, a learned man, more accurately in the way of God. 6. **Phoebe** (Romans 16:1-2): Phoebe is mentioned as a deacon (servant) of the church in Cenchreae. She was highly regarded by Paul and was entrusted to deliver his letter to the Romans. 7. **Junia** (Romans 16:7): Junia is mentioned by Paul as "outstanding among the apostles." Some interpret this as indicating that she was a prominent leader in the early church. These women played significant roles in the spiritual life of Israel and the early Christian church, demonstrating leadership, prophecy, and teaching.

There isn't any! Yes, again I say there is Women Prophets, Prayer Warriors, Leader of Military and even Evangelist with all clarity. But, there is not one Pastor, Bishop or Apostle that is a Woman. As far as myself moving anything that is written, I won't. As scripture tell us, we are to DEPEND on the Holy Spirit that The FATHER has placed in us to teach us everything that we need to know including that which The FATHER has spoken to us before even the foundation of the Earth. How do you know that what you're saying is correct? Were you there? I wouldn't go by what someone else said or wrote because we do not know if it's true. We are finding many things not to be true that was written and taught of times past.

You didn't read the whole thing. 1Corinthians 14:33-37. It's the Lord's Command not Paul's.

There are no Apostles today. Wake the up the Apostles were the ones that were given the right to record the scripture as Jesus was speaking it. The bible is finished and we know how it ends because we've read the last Chapter of the book.
