The Bible speaks of breeches, he is using that scripture to argue his stance. That garment was made strictly for Israelite priest (linen breeches to cover their nakedness when they enter the Tent of Meeting or approach the altar to officiate in the sanctuary). Women underwear (bloomers) were designed in the same manner as the priesthood breeches, should women have not worn Bloomers underwear? By the way, bloomers were originally called trousers. If you wear trousers/breeches, you and Gino Jennings, take off those breeches, you are not a priest!!!!!

You're right they didn't wear pants. We are the last to wear them. It was a custom brought on by the European women in the 60s during the time of the feminist movement. A rebellious spirit crept in during that time and the women took off their dresses and "put on the pants" so to speak. The Israelite women never wore pants. We took on the custom of the heathens. The levitical priests were commanded by the most high to wear breeches as under garments to cover their nakedness..Exodus 28:40-42 He never commanded the women to wear them.

When women started working in factories it was dangerous for them to wear skirts because it could get caught in the machinery and they could die or be gravely injured because of it. So to protect themselves they wore pants so they could work safely. Even earlier than that women created pants for themselves when horseback riding to make it easier. Earlier than that ancient Chinese working class women and men wore pants. And in Ancient Greece you can see warrior women wearing pants on pottery. This has been going in since wayyyy before the 60s

We have to be more intelligent than this. We have male and female pants. Please be informed that in the days of old in Israel everybody wore a robe or a dress-like looking garment. I assume that there was something which distinguished the male robe from the female robe but they were all robes. Same thing with the pants; they are all pants but some were made for females. I can understand a man deciding to wear panties and stuff....Now that would be an issue.

In the biblical times, both men and woman wore robes, they had robes and specifically for men and robes made specifically woman. Same thing with pants they have pants made specifically for men, and pants made specifically for woman

The Israelite women of old never wore pants and the foremothers of slavery (Israelite women as well) never wore pants. Pants for women is new. in Exodus 28:42 God commanded Aaron to make linen breeches for the PRIESTS as an undergarment, never the women.

Many Pastors today give their opion about dress code and call it bible, we shouln't enforce our values upon others. If our Lord Jesus Christ doesn't force His word on anyone, neither should we force our opion on any person. As we can see clearly in the written scriptures that God made coats of skin for adam and eve, not a pair of panths or a dress. Just like men and women wore robes in those days, and in a fashion that was for a women and in a fashion that was for a man. Same thing for the irish. Revelation 6:11 And white robes were given unto every one of them; and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season, until their fellowservants also and their brethren, that should be killed as they were, should be fulfilled. All saints will be given White robes apon been faithful to the Kingdom of God. White robes, not white panths and a white dress. Any pastor that says it's wrong for a women to wear panths is wrong, for the scriture say's pertaineth, this means clothes that are made for a women. I do believe that men and women of today should be warned that the world's culture for dress code is not for the edifying of the body of Christ, the church's of Christ Jesus, but it is against them. If verse 5 will send you to hell for wearing pants so will verse 11. Deuteronomy 22:11 Thou shalt not wear a garment of divers sorts, as of woollen and linen together. This garment of divers sorts in the natural: clothes that are mixed fabric: now the women today wear cotton and other fabrics: underwear and swearters even if there a dress: the only way this verse works is if they wear all one fabric at all times. There is a spiritual meaning to this as well: dont mix spirit with the world.

kilt is not a dress or skirt but it looks like it. We have to look at what dress code was originally made for who. Kilts were originally made for men in Ireland. So a woman wearing kilt would be sinful. Trousers were originally made for men and dress or skirts for women. Robes that were worn by men and women in the bible were made at the same time but the men robes were different from the women robes.

I love Gino but... Not everything can be solidly be proven from the bible. On most issues it can only be used as a general guideline. I believe the church have authority to make rules for itself so long as these rules have what Phillipian 4:8 it is good. The argument he used to oppose pants is flawed. As stated in Proverbs 3:5 -6 it tells us not to lean unto our own understanding but to acknowledge God in all our ways, and to acknowledge God we have to go by what is written in scriptures. There is no scripture that tells a woman she can't wear pants because they pertain unto a man. The scriptures are referring to the priestly garments that were only ordained for Aaron and the Levites to minister in them and they were men, as stated in Exodus 28:40-41. For a woman to wear this she would be trying to wear what pertains unto a man, this is referring to something spiritual. When a woman is attempting to be the anointed vessel she is putting on that which pertains unto a man. This is a spiritual concept and not a natural concept. There is no scripture that says that the spirit rested on any woman's head and if the spirit is not resting on you, you are not anointed to preach the word. The head of every man is Christ as stated in 1 Corinthians 11:3 and the spirit rested on mans' head as stated in Luke 4:18, and mans' head is the anointed one.

You will be able to defend whether pants should or shouldn't be worn by women. Are you willing to risk thinking you are right because you were taught or feel it is okay? Remember, the bible states in Proverbs 14:12 "There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death." This is eternity in one of two places: 1. What about when a woman needs to do certain exercises laying down....or go to therapy for hip or leg problems? I agree that women should not be wearing hot pants or that which draws attention to her behind or private parts. My mom always put short dresses on me when I was a young child and I was taken advantage of and molested....I love dresses but I don't wear them all the time when I played on the jungle gym I wore pants and boys when I was growing up were just as devious and nasty as they are now....of course moreso now because porn and all of this sexual garbage is here for them.

Also as a follow up to ma most recent comment I will tell you what I've figured out about godliness. Godliness should be flexible but uncompromising. In bible time clothe weren't tailor made for gender. In our time they are. Under what context did Bro. Gino use the law as doctrine? Also, that tight fitting argument is flawed if that's what you're gonna use. I've seen tight frocks, skirt, blouses, etc.. also. But godliness dictates moderation. The same goes for pants.

This is one argument I don't agree with either. Pants aren't mentioned in the scriptures. None of the people in the scriptures wore pants. The closest things to pants that are mentioned are the briefs God commanded the priests to wear when they got on the altar so no one could see their nakedness. Men and women wore tunic DRESSES. Look at all the old paintings and findings from archaeological sites... Persian women were the first to wear pants- Persian men were called effeminate for doing so.

What the ? This is the saddest things I’ve ever seen. There’s no freedom of expression here, and he’s not telling me why it’s mot allowed, why god says those things. Who picked out pants? Man did, back in the bible days those people wore robes, pants did not even exist then. In these days that make men pants as well as women pants and God has given us knowledge to no the difference. Man needs to stop picking and choosing things that fits them out of the scriptures and stand and the word of God. God did not say that a woman couldn't wear pants. That's just like wearing a shirt God gave us knowledge to know the difference between a man shirt and a woman shirt. Time changes but God does not.

Women are going to stop wearing pants. My grandad's old fashioned you wouldn't let a woman wear pants. My grandmother was wearing pants after she divorced him. It's a shame times have changed. My mom she's so fascinated with this cream color pants suit with jacket Long Jacket that my grandma wore to church one Sunday. Kamala Harris is setting an example of wearing pants suits.

Oh stop Kamala Harris isn’t setting anything. ​ So women who work jobs wear the uniforms are pants how are they drawing attention to a man?
