Nope. The downplay is excessive with no accountability and he did this while he was a husband where he had his one son. He left for two years from ministry but it seems like he just let it die down and then just returned to the pulpit. Also like Carl lentz is now doing damage control and you don't hear him talk about the Gospel of God at all but self evaluation and dealing with the emotional toll but No God only the only obvious God he has created in his head

If this is all true, he should not have been back in the altar. He committed a crime with a minor. If they run a background check on you to work with children at the church, why in the world would he think it's ok to go back on the altar. Forgiveness is one thing, and taking responsibility for your sin is another thing. The Bible is clear what it takes to carry that title. There are other areas in the church that he can serve in. People should feel protected at church.

Thanks for this video. These few words I share now are based entirely on the standards for the people of God in His Kingdom predicated on God's word, and NOT on judicial authority or the legal code. Firstly, yes, a man can fall into sin and then become a pastor. There are stipulations for being a pastor, and those have to be met, but the stipulations do not take into account sins that were committed prior and are now under the blood and repented of. Every pastor (and every child of God) has skeletons in their closet from the past before they started their church or were called - some far worse than others. Secondly, and this is going to be hard for some people to hear, but the Bible is clear that an accusation against an elder is not to be taken up unless confirmed by two or three witnesses. Now this is a hard one to swallow (just as Jesus saying that the ONLY valid reason for divorce in His Kingdom is sexual immorality and not other things such as 'emotional abuse' etc.) but it's important that we remember that the Holy Spirit had a reason for inspiring such standards and stipulations. Naturally, when it comes to certain "moral failures" or crimes, there are not two or three witnesses present. But this is where we have to decide if we are going to do things God's way or the world's way. This is where the metal meets the meat as to what Kingdom we truly belong to. When someone sins openly they are to be confronted openly (such as Paul confronting Peter, Samuel confronting Saul publicly, etc.) but when the sin is private it is not to be aired before others to whom it does not concern - you and me! As you wisely point out in this video regarding women pastors, one disobedience does not justify another. Because these alleged events involved a minor, if the people of God elect to deal with it internally, then it is between the perpetrator and the minor's parents. However, once having been dealt with, the minor now grown up, does not have the right (according to God's word) to expose the dirty works of Satan before the world since this would be in disobedience regarding the rules of not taking up an accusation against an elder except for multiple witnesses. The only one who benefits from these types of scandals is Satan and his side. I said the same thing regarding Ravi Zacharias when his scandal broke out. These women were all adults and professed Christians, and yet they slandered a man and his legacy publicly when the events that transpired happened between adults in private. This is blatant disobedience to God's word. Something the Christian community needs to remember is that the works of the flesh don't cancel out the anointing of God in the New Covenant. All are sinners, and all fall short, but if we dump the baby out with the bath water in these types of scandals then it's clear who is benefiting from the scandal, and that's Satan. And doing works that benefit a certain side is SERVING that side. As we know from the New Testament, a man's anointing and power does not come from works of righteousness or "keeping the law" (or falling short of it), but from the hearing of faith and the power of Grace and mercy undeserved. That's sort of the whole point. Christians need to start taking Galatians and a number of other New Testament teachers and standards relating to interpersonal issues far more seriously when these scandals arise because disobedience to God's word on these points is ONLY in service to the evil one, as all disobedience actually is.

@@mikedavid3087 So, if a man rapes a woman that is okay for him to be a Pastor because no one witnessed the action?! Or say murders someone with no witness?! That is okay?! If a Pastor, Evangelists rapes and molest a minor in private, that is okay?! And lies about it after the fact!? In this country that is a crime that puts people in prison.

Why do we get to jump to conclusions without truth! Seems like men are constantly attacked and judged before the story has been told. Also, how can we bring people back to the Bible and to Jesus to God when there is no grave or forgiveness 🙏. What do those words really mean when the person is still held to shame! I'm just asking after listening to this video, we seem to not know what the story is.

Who let him lead a church??? This is a betrayal on SO many levels. Masquerading as a godly leader, a father and a husband while trying to cover up that he stole a 12 year old child's innocence when her family trusted him and not once but for a period of 4 + years.. Despicable!!!!! This is criminal!!! He should be in jail. I pray others have the courage to come forward. God help us!!!!!!

This is not a matter of opinion or what we think-our authority is God’s word. Now to air on the side of grace in this situation I will preface this with we do not know all the details. The biggest one being where the police and why were they not involved. We can look at this case and say “where is the justice for this child”-if this is true. As a parent it is hard to believe this ladies family would not get the authorities involved. Why would you be ok w only reporting to the church and allow the church to discipline this man? Lots of questions that need answering. But back to the question you ask-should he step down. Yes. I believe Gods word is clear in both Titus and 2 Timothy that any church elder should be blameless faithful to his wife, one who loves what is good, who is self-controlled, upright, holy and disciplined. Those are high standards indeed-but not all are called to preach for a reason. I saw a persons comments concerning kind David being reinstated; that Comparison is not equal to this scenario. David was not a pastor or an elder in a church. He was a king. I see comments In regards to forgiveness and yes we should be forgiving just as Christ has forgiven us. But let us not forget that God is equally as Just as he is Loving. There is forgiveness on the opposite side of repentance. We are indeed a forgiven people but we are not free of the consequences of our sin. We can look to many people in the Bible for that example. Moses, David, Salomon, Samson, Saul, etc. Let us pray that God continue to reveal truth in this situation. And for all who are involved. Let us ladies keep our eyes on Gods word and remember He has left us the great counselor to help guide us when we see this sort of things arise. Remembering that God does not need any one man to build His Church. And let us Hold fast remembering that Christ is coming soon to collect His bride and the gates of hell will not prevail! Maranatha

If these allegations are indeed true - Robert Morris is not the victim he is the perpetrator! He committed a terrible Crime against a 12 yr old little girl! Others that have committed these same type crimes against children have faced criminal charges and imprisonment! And have had to have their names listed in a national database for known predators. This is first and foremost a criminal issue not just a church issue. The LORD JESUS does not just ‘brush off’ these crimes against children, even if it happens many years ago!! In Matthew 18:6 - HIS Words are Quite Dire regarding anyone who commits them! And HE is Not Mocked!

It’s as if 2024 is the year of exposure in the church and in positions of leadership. I do believe the pastors and or leaders who have been caught in sin to do as David did. David knew he couldn’t build the temple because he had blood on his hands. Idk why these days pastors or leaders don’t see that example. It’s as if they want to continue to be seen. There are things that they can not longer take part of in ministry but doesn’t mean that they’re not redeemable and or healed back into the body. I used to lead worship and led sermons in children’s ministries and when I felt/knew I was in a spiritual tormenting place in my personal life and in my marriage I decided to step down from doing any leading in both positions because I just knew it wasn’t ok for me to preach out of a wound that was festering some bitterness. I had let people over me know and some didn’t understand it and wanted to keep putting me on stage and I unfortunately backed off even church services because some people wouldn’t respect my boundary in that season. I say all this to say, sometimes it’s either a we don’t wanna step down when we’re in sin or in a place of a lot of hurt or sometimes others don’t want that for us it’s as if they want to save face because of what will others say. Pride and fear of man. But yeah I believe Robert needs to be fully honest. Not sure why but honesty and transparency is so hard in the church. Blessed are the pure (transparent) for they will see God. All throughout the psalms we see why God said David was a man after His heart, it was because David didn’t pretty his prayers and cries and he was raw and honest. We think about what or how to pray or what to say to God as if He can’t take our darkest thoughts. We forfeit seeing Him when we do that, conceal. We can’t heal when we don’t deal. Anyway I’m ranting. Robert, along with Mike Bickle & misty edwards, all need to really come clean and step down. Robert isn’t fully honest based on how he described the little girl to us as a young woman. She was not a woman, not near. She was a girl. This is why I’m not fully sure he is being honest with us and God. So he needs to step down and people over him in the body and us need to pray for his soul not for his comeback as a pastor. His souls is at stake here not his position on a platform.

I have been going to Gateway Church since 2008. I am a survivor of childhood sexual abuse & domestic violence. This lady coming forth 35 years after this issue was properly dealt with back then is clearly the enemy trying to stick his head up to “kill steal & destroy”. I’m all for holding people accountable and ensuring justice, but when something was properly dealt with 35 years ago and a person has humbled themselves, repented (actively turned away from sin and chosen to live a right standing with God life), bringing something back up to stone them is not a reflection of Christ’s heart, nor does it come from Jesus. We serve a God who forgives and has used the most failable men all throughout history…King David murdered his wife’s previous husband so he could have her, Saul murdered thousands of Christians and both had an encounter with Jesus, repented and were saved & were mightily used by the Lord to do great things. Pastor Robert Morris is now and has been since he truly surrendered his heart to Jesus years ago a Godly man who truly fears the Lord. The Bible says, “we shall know them by their fruits” (Matthew 7:15-20) and “ But if I do them, and you don’t believe me, believe the works so that you can know and recognize that the Father is in me and I am in the Father.” (John 1:39) I was at Gateway church when it was at that small building in Southlake in 2008…I have watched the Lord grow this church and how it’s grown can only be done by the Lord’s mighty hand. I have been healed, redeemed, delivered and blessed by Gateway Church and pastor Robert Morris’ sermons…it has produced mighty fruit in my life and that only comes from Jesus, His anointing and being in alignment with His Word. “You will know them by their fruits… Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit.” Matthew 7:16-18 The fruit that’s been produced in my life and in the life of millions are proof of God’s hand, forgiveness and redemption in pastor Robert Morris’s life. The Word (Bible) cannot lie, it is my solid rock and compass…it speaks and defends itself on what is truth & just period ✝️ The Word doesn’t lie that a “bad tree cannot produce good fruit”. If pastor Robert Morris had been actively continuing in sin, or had “hidden sin”, we wouldn’t see the “good fruit” so many have experienced while at Gateway, we wouldn’t see the “good fruit” we’ve each experienced listening to Morris’ sermons and see how mightily Gateway church has grown. God cannot lie and will never work against and in contrast to His Word because He cannot deny itself. “if we are faithless, he remains faithful - for he cannot deny himself.” 2 Timothy 2:13

People are so quick to condemn and throw stones with an entire mote in their own eye but want mercy for themselves but will turn around and accuse and condemn others. If he properly repented and the abuse was dealt with all those years ago and beautiful fruit has been produced than that is the same process of all the prophets we read about in the Bible. Do not be Pharisees and hypocrites. We are commanded to forgive and to have righteous judgement. Not to condemn and be unforgiving.

Again, and I can't stress this enough, when God uses a man and anoints him and pours through him, this is God's doing and a testimony to God's Spirit using a frail vessel of clay. If the man then falls into sin, we are not to spit on what God has done through this man. In Ravi's case this is what happened, even to the point of some churches and companies taking his books off the shelf, etc. Christians need to start taking Galatians and a number of other New Testament teachers and standards relating to interpersonal issues far more seriously when these scandals arise because disobedience to God's word on these points is ONLY in service to the evil one, as all disobedience actually is.

The key is true repentance… The Gifts and Callings of God are without repentance… You’re still gifted as a Pastor even after sin. You’ll suffer public humiliation and there are spiritual repercussions, but you’re still Called. He should keep preaching…. The reason people have problems with this (and it is horrific) is they don’t understand the power of the mercy of God… unless of course it’s pertaining to them. The fruit of Robert Morris ministries since the sin is proof that God is still with him. P.S Only Satan would continue to bring this sin up 35 yrs later. Let God have it at this point.
