It’s so encouraging seeing those dark patches show up from added fertility. A nice little boost to watch the animals go to eat those spots first.

Sure is Saami, the rain we have been having has been a real treat so far.

Congratulations on the rain. You gotta love docile domesticated cattle and sheep. It must make your daily chores a lot easier? When the dung beetles start to show up then you'll know that your pastures are beginning to move in the proper direction and become closer to the kind of optimal balance that the Midwestern prairies had above and below ground prior to the European colonization of the Americas.

Easy keepers they are indeed. I have heard that it is hard to get worms in the sand, so it's exciting. The dung beetles have been on the farm since the first day we brought our little flerd over there. The beetles are just waiting for some good manure to colonize. Thanks Bruce

@georgeheller2281 Are you located on the sandy alluvial historic flood plain that was created when the dammed Ice Age lakes broke free and carried trillions of tons of material southwards as the flood waters made their way towards what is now known as the Gulf of Mexico?

Thanks for the video! Having rain and worms are awesome. The newer pastures of mine don’t have any worms underneath the manure pats yet. Some of the newer pastures look like that but some look worse. I’m hoping it will change over time. I know the areas that I’ve been rotating for 4 years look awesome though. It takes time but we will get there. We had our last set of twins. We are all done lambing a couple days ago.

Always still watching. Are you seeing new seedlings coming up from where you spread hay? That will give you a better stand.
@georgeheller22814 ай бұрын
Thank you Guy, I believe I have seen some new species along with closer plant spacing. I am sure some of the seed in the hay has taken. Hope we keep getting rain, have a great day

Good evening, George. All your hard work is starting to pay. Great to see you are getting the moisture needed. Cattle and sheep are looking good. Dogs are looking good also. And George has worms. Great job. Have a safe and blessed Memorial weekend.

Afternoon! #GregJudy dropped a video earlier showing his #regenerativefarming .... OK he was looking for worms on the new farm and was showing how his #rotationalgrazing was creating fertile spots on his new farm. Rain is certainly key!

Yes Mark, moisture is definitely needed.

Isn’t it obvious for all people that this type of grazing works and should be used by everyone? - A concerned and interested New Yorker 😂

Nice green areas... around the manure pats... Well..... should be......more moisture........because of less competition from other grass... yes fertility too. But. Mr. Glyphosate (Greg Judy ) always said cows dont shy away from eating over his manure pats ?????
