This was one of the best TV-shows I could watch on TV in the 80s as a child. I was born in 1972. In Norway it was called "To gode naboer" (Two good neighbors).

My childhood memories...... life was much easier and fun than theses days. We were happy 😃 and relaxed, school, play out doors with friends and home watching cartoons like this,. No mobile no video games no nonsense cartoons like today’s and no fake life. Of course life wasn’t easy as all ways been, but people were more happy. I’ll pray for all people around the world to have peace. And GOD keeps us safe from politicians.

Yes, I watched this as a kid too. I really loved it. It still is shown in TV sometimes. They make new episodes. I'm really glad they didn't hurt it like for example the mole (another czech animation, don't know how you call it).

Back when I was a kid, it didn't bother me how Pat and Mat do everything they can to grill a chicken... but rewatching it again after 30 years later, it kinda bother me how unhygienic and may I say dangerous with their attempt to grill a chicken with all these power tools, with metal shavings, power drill that might be toxic for human consumption not to mention at the end having a open grill oven with the ventilation INSIDE their house where they probably will inhale the coal fumes
