Without that massive pause in the season AD would have broken down and been worn out like every season. Old man Lebron and AD can't keep it up over a full season and neither can the old vet minimum players. The Lakers benefited from the covid break. Some other teams didn't benefit from the break and were hurt by the break because their players didn't keep training during the break and showed up in the bubble out of shape. The bubble was the same for every team but the injury prone Lakers definitely benefited. In the seasons Without the bubble AD can't stay fit and neither can Lebron because the season is too much for them. Look at AD post bubble and you will see a guy that can't sustain the rigors of a full season. AD needed the bubble and rest.

The “no fans” argument is easily the worst argument I’ve ever heard to discredit success. Any true hooper knows you should be able to play under any conditions, whether the gym is packed or empty the goal is still the same: to win! Saying there were no fans is an excuse and a poor one. If anything, having “no fans” should make it easier to WIN! There’s no distractions which means the best of the best should really shine!
