Pat's version is really very nice, any song that Les Reed is associated with is always a pleasure to listen to. I remember that National Song Contest very well. Your Description brings back many memories. Another Irish Showband recorded a cover of "She Wears My Ring". Thanks for posting, Ron. 😃

Many folk are too ready to dismiss Irish showbands. There is a wealth of talent among them. I'm working on a video of one former showband lead singer that I intend to upload next week.

He does a really good job of this beautiful Les Reed number. He has a lot more finesse than Solomon King! xxx

I have to agree. I’ve listened to both Solomon Kings version and Pat Lynch’s version to me is the better of the two xxx❤️
