The Carr Bomber has 3 good years left. Don't forget Carr has the passing records for the Raiders with no defense, poor offensive line, and no star receivers for the majority of his career with the Raiders. Also, Carr had a dysfunctional owner.

Never compare DC4 to Orlovsky ever again, no one would know Orlovsky if he wasn't on a show, I never heard of him before then. Show some respect and class. And how quickly everyone here forgets it was DC4 that got the RAIDERS to their first playoff game before a freak fibula (not knee) injury (ironically Mariota had the same injury on the same day), and seems to forget DC4 got the RAIDERS to their last playoff appearance despite Gruden getting character assassinated and resigning after 5 or 6 games. DC4 was the ONLY constant on the RAIDERS, despite having substandard defenses, the best being 16th, the worst being dead last TWICE, and an average of 26th. It took that asshat McDickhead to come along and make DC4 leave LV, but at least karma didn't take long and McDickhead was sacked the next year for impersonating a head coach again.

People ignore his two years under Bill Musgrave in 2015 and 2016. He was elite, with Crabtree and Cooper. Consistent all season both years and was the favorite for MVP in 2016 before he broke his leg.
@BreDawg714Ай бұрын
This is the truth, the following season Mark Davis signed off on Del Rio firing Musgrave, promoting within, a habit Del Rio had in Jacksonville that got himself fired. I think Kubiak is running a similar play calling scheme as Musgrave

Carr was always very good. He just had set backs after set back after set backs. Every time he was cooking with the Raiders, something happened. He was elite early on, then he gets injured. New coaches would rotate in and out. He does well, Gruden came in, and he actually had no faith in Carr at first. Then Carr starts playing elite under Gruden, then the very next year, the Raiders start off 3-0 and Ruggs kills a girl, another player starts flashing guns on Instagram live, and Gruden e-mails get him fired. Carr plays great, then Mcdaniels comes in and just shits the bed. No QB could thrive under that trash of a coach, and Carr was the scapegoat for the Raiders being idiots. Now Carr finally found a place that utilizes his abilities correctly. Hopefully Carr isnt in the back end of his prime, and he can shut all his doubters up. I promise you, Raiders fans are kicking themselves for running Carr out of vegas for Jimmy G.

As a Raiders fan, that’s a horrible take. He’s always been way above average and has a so so game here and there. People forget he’s up there with a lot of comeback wins. He had years where he Oline was trash but he made subpar pass catchers look like MVPs like Darren Waller, Jacoby Ford, and Hunter Renfrow to name a few. It’s commentators who don’t pay attention that will have that take. I was always upset with the McDaniels regime for letting him go.
@lochnessmonster5149Ай бұрын
Gruden is what was wrong with Carr. Mark Schlereth said Kubiak put Gruden's "premium play" methodology into the trash can. Last year, the Saints would walk up to the line and the offense was forced to sit in their stances for 10 seconds while Carr called out assignments to get them into the "premium play." It resulted in missed assignments, broken plays, and Carr walking off the field on 4th down yelling at receivers for running the wrong route. This year, Kubiak calls the play, they line up, Carr gets to really work the snap count, and the offense fires off the ball and punches the defense in the mouth. Before this year, you'd never see a Carr offense walk to the line and run a quick count and catch the defense sleeping because it was impossible under Gruden.

I'll say this as a raiders fan DC last time he was in mvp hype in a season was the yr Henry ruggs got into the car accident he was just hitting deep to hriii and then he would throw to renfrow and Darren waller and zay jones he had 1203 yards and 6 tds in 3 games then Jon gruden got fired after the 3 games then 2 bad games then got back to slinging that Thang and then hriii crashed and production fell off he still ended up with 4800+yards but dc4 said he sees similarities in Rasheed and Henry ruggs speed and I think as of rn Rasheed is more developed as wr then you have olave who is sure handed like a renfrow with more speed and jawan Johnsons who is a similar archetype to Darren waller a big athletic wr turned to te but I think waller was more of and athlete and foster moreau is/was on both rosters and Kamara is a way better relieving back then josh Jacob's and as good as of a runner then you got tayson hill who can fb ot te or qb or rb to be the ultimate chess piece and a decent olije and a good oc that protect the oline also as of rn I think DC has his best oc Jon gruden system was outdated the only one was bill Musgrave mvp year but I'll give the age to kubiak through 1st 2 weeks
