Everyone loves to forget that this is the same QB that played in and won one of the best Monday Night Football games ever. He led the Rams against Patrick Mahomes and the KC Chiefs 54-51, throwing for 413 and 4 TDs. Geoff wasn't a scrub in LA. He was still a young QB but his skills should never have been in question. Sometimes you have a falling out with your coach and have to move on. I'm happy for the guy.

People thought Goff was a contract dump throw in like Dontrelle Willis was when the Tigers traded for Miguel Cabrera. He wasn't. Brad Holmes came from the Rams and was a big reason Goff was drafted 1/1. He wanted Goff in Detroit. In Brad we trust.

That's so BS. He was already a great QB in LA. McVay just threw him under the bus after the SB loss. But the thing is, once Todd Gurley went down, the Rams were becoming increasingly one dimensional. He may be not Stafford but Matt is extremely underrated. His passing ability is almost if not on par with Rodgers.

Goff would've won the SB with the same team that Stafford did with the Rams. Not to undervalue Matthew's contribution, but the SB win was more about the additions of a healthy RB by committee (CJ Anderson...Big Chungus, was RB1 against the patriots) , OBJ, Jalen Ramsey, Kupp had a torn ACL in Goff's SB appearance, Von Miller, and all of the other one season rentals

I'm a Rams fan and Stafford didn't win sh*t in Detroit even with Megatron. And we definitely didn't win Superbowl because of him despite how Rams fans want to portray it. If anything, we won despite him. Dude tried his best to lose by giving away two unnecessary interceptions in superbowl. OBJ was the unsung hero. And Cooper Kupp getting wiiiiiiide open and yards after catch. And good defense. They erased Stafford's mistakes and they are who got us the ring. We definitely threw Goff under the bus for total team failure. Everyone including McVay sucked after that 2018 Superbowl season and Goff was the easy target to deflect the blame. He was a quiet, non-confrontational guy and that made it even easier. Yeah, he would have definitely won the Superbowl if he had what Stafford had in 21 SB.

Goff brought consistent winning football back to the Rams after over a decade, took them to an NFC ship, and multiple division ships, but the media gave Sean Mcvay credit. The dude gets shipped out to Detroit against his will and helps the worst franchise in history become a top 5 team. Ben Johnson and everyone besides Goff gets credit. There is without a doubt a media vendetta against him, maybe this is the result of having a more mellow personality that has nothing to compensate for,

Definitely pulling for Goff. Been rooting for the Rams since they moved back to LA, and really wanted that Super Bowl against the evil empire, but had to go the way of the Hawks and Falcons. That 2018 year was big for the Rams, and made their renaissance official. They swept the 49ers for the first time in a long time, won a home playoff game very convincingly against the Cowboys at their old stadium, and managed to stay strong and comeback against the Saints in spite of that no call, punching a ticket to the big game with Goff under center. That year was a bit perplexing. The Rams started super hot, then had their bye week, and when they came back from that, Goff was off. It was a game played strangely enough, in Detroit, where he seemed to have lost his touch. The game before the bye was that famous shootout against Mahomes that was played in Los Angeles after cancelling Mexico City due to the quality of the field being poor there, so to get people to fill the seats they gave a lot of tickets away to various charities. 54 to 51. I think after the highs of winning such a game, something ruptured somewhere in his psyche, because he went from being smooth and unstoppable to taking forever to start the play and waning accuracy. It was as if he had the yips, and the Bears and Eagles trounced him. After that Monday Night game, Goff varied between this tentative, shivering, nervous type to occasional bouts of his trademark smooth as silk performances. Unfortunately, the Super Bowl seemed to be a reemergence of his yips. In reality, success for Goff's passing game seems to live and die based on the running game. When they run, his passing is terrific. When they do not run, he cannot seem to hang. Maybe he will surprise us by stepping up in the pocket, but for now, his play action is beautiful to watch

someone made a video on youtube on Goff. early with the rams, they ran a lot of play-action. each year that passed the % of PA they ran went down. Goffs stats went down in those same years. Goff went to a superbowl, he has talent. what do the lions do really well? they run PA well. how has Goff played? really well. he is a top 10 QB in the last 25+games he has played

A lot of Jared's growth is due to his relationship with Ben Johnson. Ben develops his schemes based on Jared's skills. The rams never did that.
