@@ThatBoyKlinkYou're right & yeah he is. If Love continues to perform like he did this last season (and given the new contract... the front office is convinced he will) the Pack will have elite All Pro level QB play for 3 generations. As it sits now they are already at 30+ years and Love could very well make it 40+ years... That's INSANE. Only down side is they often miss the early Super Bowl window because they don't get the rookie scale contract advantage early but when your team is in the playoffs and making legit championship runs almost every season, its hard to knock their system and talent development. I thought this pick was so bad 4 years ago..... and while I still think this pick cost them a Super Bowl in the immediate future. It looks to have cemented another decade of championship caliber QB play and that is hard to argue agianst. Because of this system the Packers skip the standard tear down a rebuild cycle so many teams get caught up in for years going 3-14 ect..... Rather they simply reload going 8-9 or 10-7 before being right back in the NFC Championship hunt. These are the decisions that other GMs CANT MAKE because few front offices in the NFL have the patience to wait 4 years to see if it works out. It's that patience and long term view that allows them to stay so consistent! !

@@isaaca.stratton7768 Thank you. Favre was talking about retirement for years and he was busted up with injuries to the point that he was an Oxy addict. Rogers is not and they were a game away from the Superbowl. The Pack defense couldn't stop a nosebleed against the 49ers. And they could use a receiver or two. Like Mahommes in KC.
@SportsSpeak734 жыл бұрын
It's really not. 1) Favre was contemplating retirement every offseason so the Packers needed a plan in place for when he finally did. Rodgers has yet to do so. 2) Rodgers fell to the Packers, they didn't spend additional draft capital to get him the way they did for Love. The Packers were one game away from the Super Bowl last year and rather than get better, they spent 2 picks on a player they don't intend to play right away. 3) Rodgers numbers coming out of Cal were far superior to those of Love & he was far more polished.
