They’ed much rather our black qb go down then get some positive yardage. Poor guy ended up changing schools. O line instantly got better every time we swapped in our secondary. Edit: I say poor guy but the truth is he was trash. Gang banger who only tried in school so he could play football. Fights and drugs every other week, but his lack of protection on the field was obvious.

Immediately after it happened I said, "He's gonna have to say he called him a ni**er". Hitting a helmetless guy in the head is the one thing that you just can't do on the field, especially with the dude's own helmet. I knew Garrett was going to have to do this because it's his only out. Millions are on the line. The reason Garrett was given another chance is because Mason Rudolph sucks. It's star vs. non-star and the star is using the race card against an innocent non-star. Fortunately, Tomlin is black.

Biggest mistake was waiting so long to say it. First time the racial slur thing was even brought up was like a week after it happened. That is not something you hold on to especially after hitting someone with a helmet like that. Bringing it back up now is just plain desperation. You are reinstated. It's over. Drop it and move on. Then again, you are on the Browns. Expecting that team to do anything good is like expecting the Giants to be relevant. It will happen, you just have to wait an exceedingly long time for it.

There was no racial slur...Garret only mentioned this slur at his appeal which he thought was confidential and therefore no one outside would hear his accusation, he was clearly just trying to offer some bs excuse to get a lesser ban. But once his accusation was leaked to the world I guess he didn't/couldn't admit he lied in a hearing, therefore he didn't come clean. I think its telling that all he really said about it was something about him believing that the hearing was meant to be confidential (basically an admission that there was no racial slur by Rudolph).

Maybe somebody was just mad at another person. But since he got in trouble how can I get out of this mess. Let's say he was racist. Because it's a sensitive subject anymore.

I'm from the Netherlands, and I want to get something straight. So, if I understand this correctly. It is perfectly fine for black people to say the so called "n-word" because they are black, and it isn't okay for a white person to say the "n-word", because they are white. This is the definition of racism, not being allowed to say something because of the color of your skin. Not a single white person alive in America has anything to do with slavery, and the same goes for black people. If it is such a bad word, then nobody should be allowed to say it. If you let it be determined by the color of your skin, that's pure racism.

Even though I dont necessarily believe Garrett, I thought the indefinite ban was a little much. I would have expected a ban for the remainder of the season plus a couple games the next season. But the ambiguity of an indefinite suspension allows for it too look harsh while actually being fairly lenient at the same time. So it was actually fairly strategic on the Leagues part.
