Tara - will you do review of the Tropic Palette? I am so frustrated. I purchased, and the Exotic green and Tiger Lily Blue perform horrid, hard pan instantly and don't pick up with a brush. There are a few others that lack performace as well. Wondering how you get them to perform? thinking of returning the palette. thx :)

Violet hi there! I use my Wayne Goss 05 détail brush to apply these shadows. They don’t really work with fingers or fluffy brushes. A denser pencil brush makes it work though. I use it to pat (press down) the shadow on a bit at a time until the lid is covered. I do not have a problem with the matte shades, even if they are more powdery than her other palettes. Still think it is an awesome palette for the summer!

Loscar35 I have all of Wayne goss brushes. They don't work to apply the Natasha Denona Tropic Palette shimmers dry, neither do the Sonia G brushes or my Hakuhodo or Tom Ford brushes. However, my synthetic brushes do better. If wet, a flat shader brush of any quality works ok. Matte is a different issue. as for this video.....I have zero problem applying the Pat McGrath shadows. I have all of her Mothership palettes and just bought these minis that Tara is reviewing above.

Beauty News showed some swatches from that palette...they also mentioned the sealing of the shadows. Glitter glue seemed to work ok for the blue shadow, but we really shouldn't have to do that! Grrr.

mareir yea I've used the glitter glue it helps but wet is better or a sponge applicator but all of those methods to apply pack the color on and you can't blend a gradient well using a glue, wet or sponge. anyhow. ....horrid formula my Exotic shade (green) is literally hard panned, using it once.

After watching the ladies over at beauty news, they said that it works better with water too, but they also saw how quickly it hard-panned. water would only make that worse, right? so dissapointing.

I have La Vie En Rose and Bronze Ambition and like them both. I plan to pair them with the matching Mothership palettes. That annoying loose plastic name sheet put a dent in one of my shadows too! I agree the packaging is cool, my palettes arrived in good condition hope they don't break down the road.

Tara your eyes looked amazing before you put on that thick eyeliner. Also the shadows were much more poppin’ 😊 After you put on the eyeliner, all I can see is the eyeliner 😊 I understand that you have a routine with your makeup application and most probably think your makeup is incomplete without the eyeliner. But believe me when I say you look gorgeous without it. Maybe you can try something different once in a while?

Tara I think the packaging is defective, I received all three of mine today and the lid on my subliminal pallet was off too !! I took a hot glue gun and put mine back on. Love this look, gonna try it for work in the morning !! Per the usual great review and tut!!
