This is crazy. My parents and extended family are buried just about 20 yards from Pat Phoenix’s grave in this graveyard. There’s about four gravestone plots from our family including aunts and uncles, three of my brothers and mum and dad (one is visible at 4:05) all with a line of sight to Pat Phoenix’s grave. Have been there many time to leave flowers (earlier to attend the funerals). I noticed the grave and thought to myself: “surely not THAT Pat Phoenix ?” So it’s true ! There’s another irony here. My mother was a huge Coronation Street fan and never missed an episode. She would have been very sad when Pat died. She herself passed away but was buried in a coffin in our family plot in 2006. My father, on the other hand, hated Coronation Street with a passion and would leave the room when it came on sometimes abusing my mum with “not that rubbish” or some such. She would always respond “this is about real people” etc. In all other respects they loved each other to bits but disagreed heavily about this one thing, her favourite show. Well the final irony is that they are buried in the same grave, my mother in a proper coffin, my dad in a smaller one because he was cremated. They are both within sight of Pat Phoenix’s grave, star of mum’s favourite TV show, dad’s least favourite. For all eternity.

I agree with your opinion that the back of the headstone has been used as Pats headstone. What surprises me is that considering the Booths are the grandparents of Cherie Booth (Tony Blair’s wife) I would have expected that the upkeep of the grave would have been nicer than it is. Also, it would be interesting to know where Tony Booths resting place is.

I really had no time for Tony Booth . In my opinion he was a user & opertunist. I thought Pat Phoenix was a good honest woman Its a pity graves are neglected, but lets fly out to America & put flowers on Elvis's grave . Great video as ever well done.

Love the channel, I found your channel while I was trying to find my grandma's grave in wavertree, she was buried at good shepherd convent, to my horror Ive been informed it's a housing estate now, Southport records office say they have no information as to where she was moved to,so I'm trawling the net for info.🧐

It's a very interesting subject. I'm sure I saw a news report about her funeral where it said she was going to be cremated. All I can guess is that maybe her ashes are buried in that grave. I suppose the only way to solve the mystery would be to contact the cemetery.

So sad to see the unkempt simplicity of the gave site and so little upkeep for a larger than life celebrity. When my father passed and I had to spend time in the UK I discovered I had an older brother and younger brother who were stillborn. It was a shock because I had no knowledge of this. Because of the time they simply took babies away and parents often knew little what happened. I did searching and managed to find through records two cemetary locations. The clerk was willing to meet me at both cemetaries and show me the location as they were in an overgrown and neglected part of the cemetary. Whilst I at one time wished to visit the graves and reflect, my feelings were that it would upset me more to see the location and lack of respect to the fact these were obviously graves to many babies. I consoled my self that I at least found the info on the resting place and my siblings had at least been respectfully buried.

Very strange - where is Tony her husband buried? Or had the money run out for a decent gravestone? Personally I would replace Pat's gravestone with a nice easy clean black granite like most of the others - we paid about £1,200 for a smaller size gravestone including engraving. Thanks for the videos, we have only recently discovered them, and found they are very interesting.

The cemetery will have the records of where she’s buried . In my cemetery near me ashes aren’t buried in a full grave unless you have someone is previously buried there.

You need to find Tony’s grave, the other side just looks like Tony’s mam and dads? Maybe Tony was cremated and in there with Pat but that doesn’t explain why his name isn’t on it

The side of the headstone with Pats name on it appears to have 3 bricks using the headstone as one side they form a square as I’m sure she was cremated maybe this is where her ashes are interred, it seems rather harsh and uncaring. If Pat is buried with Tony’s parents I wonder where Tiny is buried.

My family's grave is within feet of the grave and there has never been a burial behind that headstone Pat's inscription only appeared quite a time after her death, I seem to remember reading she was cremated and her ashes were buried under a tree she loved in her garden in Alderley Edge. Maybe when Tony Booth died or moved her ashes where moved to the cemetery. If you look between the dates under her name you can see something has been removed it was a gold star which I believe that the church wasn't very happy about.

It could be possible that pat was laid to rest where her name is on headstone,my thought is that the burial plot was full so pat is buried at the rear of the plot.
