nah, we aren't even sure he's quit music. He's just stated that he's moved on from punk and to a certain extent anarchy. He can't really keep playing the songs because he doesn't necessarily still believe in them. At least that's what I gathered. He didn't really say WHY exactly he was leaving. I just think he kind of grew up.

This man, his astonishing soul, his heart, his music is so powerful that it was just enough to help so many get by for just ONE more day. Then it became two, three, four......one of those many has been me on more than one occasion. Here I am back again. In another rut. Just over a year ago I almost died. I posted on one of the fistful videos, I got overwhelmed with the care I was shown. I'll make it through again. I know I will but I just had to stop by and let go for just a moment. I thank him for all he has done for the likes of lowlifes like myself. As well as I thank you guys, for helping this to become reality. From the bottom of my soul, I love all of you. Just one more day..... Then maybe two........

It's honestly kind of amazing how many people share stories in the comment sections of Pat's videos about how much his music helped them get through really dark periods of their lives. Been there myself and I've gotta say, his music is so incredibly therapeutic, I'm so glad I found it when I did, it was exactly what I needed at the time. Truly an incredible artist. I hope you're doing well, man. Life can be a fucking roller coaster ride, but it's one that I think is worth seeing through to the end, after all if we're all to return to dirt, might as well bring as many stories for the worms as you can :)
@PizzaIsAllPowerful3 жыл бұрын
Don’t call yourself a “lowlife”. I know where you’re coming from with that, trust me. But language, even in our own heads, is so much more important than we realise. You’re not a lowlife. You’re a human being, who happens to have had to go through some real fucking shit. “What doesn’t kill us makes us stronger.” Please, I beg you, please do your best to get stronger. If stronger isn’t on the agenda, I can completely understand despite how awful of a reality that is, but if you have it in you, please try to pick getting stronger.

For anyone who’s known about Pat, and anyone new, I’m a fan, too. I first heard his music, 10 years ago, coming down from an incredible acid trip. I just couldn’t sleep (for whatever reason). I went into my living room where one of my best friends in the world was dwelling, and asked him what “that music you played earlier was”…was all about…he looked at me and said..”man, I can’t fucking sleep either, glad you popped out” The rest was history. I’ve been listen to “Pat the Bunny” “The wingnut dishwashers union” and “Ramshackle Glory” for about 10 years… Don’t regret a second of it

Funny to think this is the same guy who did DIY Orgasms and I Want Cancer For Christmas; amongst others. Guess we all have to grow up at some point. Still to be young and free again like the days of johnny hobo is something i think most people do miss. The fact that you only have to care and look out for yourself at that stage. When you get older theres multiple responsibilities you have to take on. Living on your own (away from parents and other family), work, raising a family of your own. Life comes in and hits you hard, then youre tied down and cant move anymore; like you could when you were young. Its kinda sad really.
