Mr. Thomas is truly a legend, yet so humble. This man has been providing us with great music for more than 50 (since the 70s or even earlier). He still looks great and may the Almighty God continue to keep him in good health and longevity!

Thanks Hammer for the amazing programme. Pat is one of our very best living legends that we ought to appreciate while he's alive. I attended his live show at London Jazz Cafe with his Kwashibu area band last year and it was a sold out programme with the whites singing to his tunes as soon as the beat starts. They begged him for one last song when the programme ended.

Pat Thomas, what a legend! His voice were featured on a lot of records CK Mann - Nimpa Re br3, (Maame) Ogyatanaa (Kojo Donkor) obviously the one you just played 👌🏿 Pat Thomas (Take 1 album) a rare copy! Just heard you play Fishes for mankind and Amen. You should have asked him about the late Charlotte Dadda she was also part of the Uhuru Dance band

Hammer please get Mike Eghan on your show i know he's already been on the Footprints Show. His voice was featured on Dr K Gyasi and the Noble kings live album Sikyi Hi life in 1974. A great Radio presenter probably the first Ghanaian to work for BBC in the late 60's

I hear he is an Ashanti(Asante) raised in Kumasi but why are all his songs in Fanti ?
@williamhanson41542 жыл бұрын
He stayed in Takoradi in his younger years with Fantis playing music with Ebow Taylor and others. That is the reason all his songs are Fanti. One thing with fanti language is that it is a sweet language so if you stay with them you will adopt the language.
