Dude Thank You so Much for this interview with a musician that was literally a sound track to my young teenage life till I was in my 20's. I think Pat Travers was on my turn table for like 4 years straight! I was turned on to him from my brother in law in 1977 when I was a freshman in high school. He was the first rock guitarist that just changed my life! Made me want to be a guitar player! Hence I did become one. Thank You Pat! I wish the world would know this mans incredible music and that he would find massive success even late in his career like BB King! Man I listen to his music everyday! I loved he toured with Rush! My two all time favorite Bands. Those Canadians 😃👍🎼🎶🎸

Thank you for doing this interview .Absolutely awesome artist Pat is and has been his whole career .he's so humble and modest it's unreal cause he's a literal "Guitar God" his stage proformance back in the late 70 and early 80s was incredible .Of all the guitar players I've seen live Randy Rhoads was solidly on top in that aspect but after that Pat was right up there .i grew up in Orlando Florida where Pat ended up making his home after leaving London for Miami for a short time than moving to Orlando and he had a great habit of going out to all the local clubs to see the local bands and more times than not he would get asked to come up on stage and do a song with them .and he played all over the central florida club circuit .remember seeing him play at the legendary Fern Park Station in Longwood florida just on the outskirts of Orlando and Winter Park .the venue was a old train car turned into a small local nightclub that had all the local club scene bands playing a week at a time basically weekly house bands such as Romeo (which changed their name to Stranger after getting signed to a recording contract) and other florida favorites Tangent from the Tampa area and Asher from South Florida .Pat played in Daytona Beach (with Aldo Nova and Rick Derringer) for free like all the bands during spring break did yearly .and later in the late 80s at Jani Lanes from Warrant night club .but his best show i saw him at was in March 82 in Orlandos Tangerine Bowl Stadium where he offered to fill in for Ozzy Osbornes Band who had to cancel due to Randy Rhoads tragic death .a real classy move on his part doing the show for nothing being he lived there in Orlando .His live record "Go For What You Know" was one of the greatest live recordings of all time .if you lived around this time and loved rock and roll there were 3 live albums that stood out above all .Judus Priest "Unleashed In The East" Frank Marino and Mahogany Rushs "Live Black" album and Pats Travers "Go For What You Know" this record features Pat Travers on lead guitar and vocals .bassist Mars Cowling .lead guitarist Pat Thrall .and Legendary Drummer Tommy Aldridge .this lineup was was by far Pats best and was IMO the tightest live band ever .

Saw Pat in NYC last month at a small club, just excellent & current trio sound killer. Been a fan forever and really appreciate him still out there and delivering big time. What a legend

In a Penthouse magazine, which I purchased just for the high-brow articles.....(I was 15ish...).....I saw a review of a new guy with the 'Puttin' It Straight' album....cat with long hair, sideburns, playin' a Melody Maker plugged into a Marshall stack.... From the opening track of 'Life in London', I knew he was special

Way Back in 77 I think it was I got the album at Woolworths for 399. It was making Magic. Just turn me on to Pat Travers. I think during those years I collected his whole catalog. I have not been in touch with him for a long time. I really like this interview thank you.
