I have been following the band since the mid 70's going back with Mars Cowling and pat Pat thrall and of course Tommy Aldridge (my personal favorite line up) I'm 56 now I've seen his band just remain as the high energy hard driving bad ads rockers. especially with his love to play small venues. why madona is in the R&R hall and Pats not.... Fan for life.

They had to make room for Donna Summer and Aaron Coen. Why isn't Joe Cocker in? Because the R&R hall of fame is I joke. I would think with Rock and Roll being the first two words that they would focus and rock artist let them open a disco hall of fame. The partridge family should be in before Donna Summer and don't get ms started on Madonna.

People say "Jimi" or "Eddie" or "Page" or whoever, and then someone reminds you of Pat Travers and guitarists will tell you, he is the best! Most people just don't understand how fast, fat, and tastey PT's playing is. There are so many non-rock influences that I hear in his playing. Seen him 3 times, never dissappointed. A pro for the others to aspire to.

I saw Pat Travers live back in 1980 at the Cow Palace in San Francisco . Great show and years went by and I bought a concert video on video cassette Live in 1993 in Canada. Great show But I couldn't help but notice how much older and heavier Pat Travers looked. Well about 7 years later I bought a ticket to a show at a small club in Sacramento and didn't go because I was tired from work and didn't bother to go what a mistake. Here he is 11 years later Kickin Ass in Santa Clara never count out or underestimate the rocking power of the true legends like this man.

People shed their hair and threw out their old music but some of us heard this stuff, kept our hair, started bands and kicked ass. A GOD of a guitarist. This song means a lot to me personally and I thank Pat for helping Hard rockers like me see the light. Go get em Pat you are still on fire and so am I. Postscript - I saw Pat at the Cabaret in San Jose ( speaking of clubs, now closed in the South Bay ) in about, 1994. Talk about old-school Pat energy!!! He had Aynsley Dunbar on drums (!!!), and I believe Steve Fister on guitar ( forgot who the Bass player was ) and man, that was one of the BEST shows I have ever seen - and I have seen a LOT of great acts/shows in the Bay Area in my life :-) This band is ok, but Pat's live band really hasn't been great since about 1996.

I was lucky enough to see him when he was what you call old school with Pat and Tommy. Also saw him many times in the mid 80's in small venues. Played the Keystone in PA many time's. I saw a couple of shows at Bullwinkles along with rock bands playing the Saddle Rack, only two clubs in the south bay that had real bands.

No joke. Travers has, based on what I've gleaned from people who follow him and went to his shows, lived the life of a musician for 40+ years playing road houses and music joints like this one. He's paid his dues and made a lot of killer music. He deserves some kind of award. I bought three of his more known records, money well spent.

@santyrush He's had 12 to 15 drummers just since he started recording . It looks like a great gig to be in his band but it's a lot of work . If somebody in the band doesn't want to stay he always seems to find great players, Sandy Gennaro is the drummer with him on this. He toured with him years ago and played on at least two of his records . Pat tours all over the US .They go around on a pretty low budget . The guys in the band set up their own gear most of the time .They drive themselves.

+David That's Sandy Gennaro .He was in the band at this time probably less than 3 months . He toured for a couple of years with PT and did at least two of his best albums back in the early 80's . Sean Shannon was through touring with the band at this time .He has his own studio and produces other bands , and still helps Pat with recording ..Still will play in PTB when duty calls . Sandy at this time ,was likely concentrating pretty hard to play the songs . I was surprised and very happy he was able to return .His resume goes from Cyndi Lauper to Bo Diddly , Joan Jette and the Monkees . He's still with the band and is something to witness . PT has survived a hell of a lot of years and personnel changes many times . (Kirk McKim , the second guitarist , has since left ) PTB still can rock with anybody .

There are exceptions, of course and that's not to say there wasn't plenty of dreck that came out when I was kid. As opposed to so much of today's overproduced, overplayed, autotuned, mindless dreck that makes up much of today's 'product' that's 90% show and 10% tell, I find it refreshing to hear something raw, with feel, and with a decent groove.
